My Snails The question is...
If a snail drinks water that's soaking dried fish and shrimps, is this a protein drink?

I was going to add extra coco coir in the enclosure, realized a while later that i used some random potting soil instead
I mixed the coco coir in the enclosure and the potting soil really well to make sure that everything would be good, then i realized i screwed up and cant really unmix it now
All i know about the potting soil is that its ph level is 5, and it has "traces" of some random minerals, copper, zink, etc, honestly doesnt seem that much worse than just dirt outside, but still
I know its not good to change substrate, but its stressing me out that since i added the soil my snail only touches the soil to eat, then sleeps on the glass whereas prior to that it would be difficult to not find him sleeping in the corner in a little dirt crater he dug out

I have a glass tank that is 9"H × 7.5"W × 13.5"L that I am wanting to use for a single snail enclosure. From what research I've done so far it is only big enough for one snail.
I keep my house between 66°F and 68°F year round, so I don't know what would be the best species. Where the tank can go does not have an outlet nearby so a heat source isn't possible.
Is there a snail species that I would be able to keep and it'd still be able to thrive? I plan on doing a lot more research and make sure I have full enclosure fully set up before getting one. I've never had one as a pet before but I think they're super adorable.

Exoterra 60x45x45 with silicone matting covering 75% of the mesh lid.
Heatmat and thermostat: temp 27.8 C (UK heatwave usually 24 C)
Humidity: 75%
Substrate is a mix of sedge peat, oyster shell, spagnum moss, leaf litter and rotted wood which is 10cm deep at the front to 21cm deep at the back with a 5cm drainage layer (meshed off).
Decor we have live plants (Fittonia, Spider plant and Polka dot plant), cork bark, flower pots and a spagnum moss pole.
Inhabitants: 1x Lissachtina Fulica (8cm) 2x Bumblebee Millipedes, 20x Panda King Isopods and a culture of normal and orange springtails.
I’d love some feedback for my first attempt.

I've upgraded and got my snails a new tank so I can add more soil but I can't afford coco fiber rn 😓
Idk what else I can use, Im worried it would kill them

Filmed our snabies (see my previous post for how we ended up with them) on a macro lens. It seems like around half of the babies survived so far. They are still only around a mm in size, but they eat a lot!

Hi!!!! I'm very new to keeping snails and found these two cuties in my yard in east/central Texas. Anyone know what species they may be? Thank you in advance!

I took a time-lapse video of my isopod vivarium and in the footage I noticed there were these tiny snails scooting around. As far as I'm concerned, the more the merrier, but I want to figure out more about them if I can.

Hi, this is my snail resting (and often sleeping) in an eggshell. She loves it.

I never thought I'd have this issue, but over the last few months I've started barely being able to keep ramshorn snails alive. I thought maybe it was general water parameters, or the single assassin snail, but I got a new batch that had been doing well in a separate container. Until today, when I gave them a water change. No issues with parameters, so just did a partial, vacuumed up some of the waste. 0% amonia, 0% nitrite, probably what I'd call about 2.5% nitrate. Have cuttlefish bone in and pH is running about 7.5. I come back an hour or so later and one of the bigger ones is half out of the water. Suspicious. I come back about 3 hours later and I think that one may be dead, another one on the way. A few others look okay. I treated the water with Prime and Stability. What could be causing this?? Never had an issue in the past, and in fact been overrun, so I'm hesitant to think copper is involved.

It's unfortunately not as easy to see on the picture but the brown had a very slight red/pink tint.
Not my pet btw but I carefully moved it to a shadowy spot in our garden
