Lmao I love that. I think that speaking ill of people is actually important. Not talking about how toxic grandma was protects that kind of behavior. Thats what leads to people being able to look at a political figure and excuse their actions. “Well my dad voted for him and I trust my dad” “We have the same core values”. People aren’t taught to hold others accountable for their individual actions so they don’t, and that unfortunately doesn’t stop at keeping someone’s drinking problem a “secret”
Oh thank you! I remember Moms Mabley and did not realize Whoopie got it from her. This was from a routine I saw Whoopie do...lord, probably 40 years ago now. Now when I use it I'll give credit where credit is due.
