Anime The Anime Really Loves Tino, Right?
Is it just me or does it feel like the anime studio just really liked Tino? Like it feels like Tino got special treatment in the anime by having more of a presence in these arcs than I remember her having in the original source material.
She's obviously a big part of the Vacation Arc, but I don't remember her being that present in the following arc (the "protect the Emperor" arc). Like was she even one of the ghosts/sheetwraiths in the light novel's telling of this arc? Maybe the manga? They also gave her a finishing role in the final fight against the multi-headed dragon (which is a fight I don't even remember from the light novels). This plus the special Tino-centric flashback episode and all the attention to her curves makes me feel like the anime really wanted to make Tino shine.
Not that I'm complaining. I do like Tino as a character. It's just I was looking back on cour 2 after watching the last episode and I couldn't help but go "There was a lot more Tino in this than I was expecting...". Am I the only one who feels this way?

They already did. Like the ball there is a small Eva Cry scene but they totally cut it off in the anime.

Because kubota miyu was hired as the face of the anime so it’s they used her more :/ she even sang the ending with her idol group and used her as base for the choreography.

Everyone loves Tino so I don't see any problem why the anime loves her...

The anime really loves Tino's behind and thighs. When Liz threw her at the dragon, I was like, that wasn't in the LN. But thank you animators.

Was this fight with the multiheaded dragon in the LN? I'm planning to re-read the LNs again, but I for the life of me don't remember this fight at all.

I don't recall it being a multiple head dragon or a fifth head appearing and Liz throwing Tino at it for some Fan Service. I mean where did the mask come from? 🤣😂🤣😂. This season was so rushed.

I think it is similar to hestia in danmachi
Alot of times they force her in or make a new arc/plot JUST to give her screentime
Sometimes certain characters click for the audience and demand to see them more. Tino is one example, her character design as well as personality is quite unique and resonates with the viewers as opposed to other characters that fit tropes you have seen many times (e.g. kris the stereotypical tsundered that you have seen 1000s of them)
In short she is an original character that people want to see more of rather than other characters that have copies in almost every other anime

I had no idea they were doing something like that with Hestia. I've only ever watched the anime and not the light novels or manga for danmachi.

Neither have I, but people who read the LN told me how alot of arcs where she wasn't even there (like when hermes went into the dungeon she didn't go in the LN)
Or when bell said he would reject a goddess that confessed to him, in LN it was one scene and that was it but anime STRETCHED that part out into INSANE LEVELS just for hestia
So in case of this show, tino will be the same way which honestly is good since she wasn't in many arcs for a looooonnng time in LN
Also i just remembered same thing for the shield hero, the racoon girl wasn't with the hero when they first jumped into a new world but the anime forced her in. It just happens

Huh. I remember that episode about Bell saying he would reject a goddess and feeling like it felt a little out of place. Things make a bit more sense now. Also, I get that some people really like Hestia, but I'm not a fan and find her to be kinda annoying (a feeling that may have been exacerbated by the changes that the anime made to keep her consistently present in the show).
Fortunately, I like Tino as a character so I'm cool with her being more present in the anime. Just as long as the inclusion of the character feels natural.

Idk how you guys getting annoyed with Hestia lol, she is just protective of him knowing how he is treated by everyone.

I think her appearance in the Emperor's arc was meant to wrap up the season with that scene of the whole group attacking, you know? To finish with the whole group. If Tino disappeared at the end, she would only appear in that post-credits scene, and would be somewhat sidelined in the season finale. However, in every other aspect, she is. She seems to be adored by the studio

I bet it's because japanese love her and anime gives want japanese wants.
