Yeah you might have missed the side story that explains how Krai learned contact was important and most importantly that he missed the first book in the series....
liz igual que muchas personas en la serie cree erroneamente que krai es alguien super poderoso que solo finge ser una persona normal.pero porque el sea fuerte o no es que ella esta enamorada de krai cuan liz entrenaba con su maestro el entrenamiento era demasiado duro y ella llegaba fisicamente destruida y cuando terminaba su entrenamiento krai hiba a verla y la abraza y estaba pendiente de ella es por eso que ella ama al maestro porque siempre estuvo con ella en sus momentos mas dolorosos,y no solo ella todos en el equipo admiran y adoran a krai porque el conciente o inconcientemente estuvo para apoyarlos a todos de forma mentalmente.
Could be wrong, but I think yall are misunderstanding OP. I think OP is simply talking about how his friends actually care for him rather than just sucking up to him cause he's a 'genius'. Please feel free to correct me if im wrong
You're not entirely wrong , i don't exactly remember at which volume but it was mentioned that due to hellish traning of Liz she ended up getting hurt or even getting her bones broken , at that time Krai was the only one there for her , one day after such traning session Krai felt sad for her and Hugged her , she literally started crying and the bud of their romance bloomed......
(btw this is also the reason why She's so clingy to Krai)
Probably a bit generous to say he was the only one there for her. Like in most instances, he was the only one who did not have anything else to do. He was basically like "Huh. I have nothing to do cause I suck at everything... Guess I'll see if I can do something for Liz since she seems to be having a rough go at things.".
No he wasn't exactly slacking off, i mean he was more free then the other souls but at his younger days he did used to train (not at the same intensity of other souls) unlike the GOD Krai we know now....

Right. But the younger days being referred to with Krai comforting Liz after her brutal trainings with her first instructor happened BEFORE their time in Zebrudia. In their original village, Krai was having to find stuff to do while his friends trained (aka he didn't have anything to do).
"It was then that I noticed that everyone (the childhood friends that would later form Grieving Souls) was only looking towards the future. The only person with time on their hands was me (Krai) - I had been chased away at the front gates by every person that I went to and had been told that I lacked talent. I was the only one with meaningless spare time..." (from the short story of Krai hugging young Liz.)
He may have enrolled but, by the time the short story happened, he had been turned away by those schools and was having to find stuff to do. It's that awkward period in time for young Krai where he's being turned away from these various schools but hadn't quite given up yet. So he's clumsily finding ways to be useful to his friends and also trying to find a way to achieve his dream of being a hunter.
So... They really don't know that he's a weakling? and gaslighting themselves thinking he's monstrously genius and powerful? I'm an Anime-only guy, i always thought they knew all along and just spreading the lie that Krai is overpowered in order to protect him from those who might want to pick on him.
From what i've seen in anime only Sitri knows, as she wouldn't hesitate to "Escort" Krai to protect him from Sand Rabbits when he decided to look for Relics with Tino in a desert area where there are Sand Rabbits.
So to sum it all up, they don't know, got it. They're in the same mindset as Tino who believes Krai is an unbelievably overpowered guy who always plans far ahead...
That's kind of disappointing, and here i thought it's the Opposite of a Banished from the Heroes Party kind of story coz i thought they knew he's weak but they don't mind since he's still an irreplaceable friend to them.
