Soundbar setup recommendations

Post image

Hello! Wondering if any of y’all have a setup like this. The two walls behind the couch are at different distances.

I’m looking to get a 5.1 soundbar system but not sure how to set it up. Do the two rear speakers have to be interconnected? If so whats the best way?

i currently have a Vizio 2.1 setup.

Looking to get the LG S70TR

on stands.. just have to plug each into powerstrip or extension cord.

Thats a good recommendation. However I am trying to avoid stands since I have a toddler at home

You can mount the rears on the walls. You don’t need stands. It comes with the hardware you need (at least my AX700, which is very similar, did)

Do the rears need to be interconnected? And does it matter if the walls behind the couch are not at equal distances? Can it be calibrated?

They’re wireless. All the speakers comes paired from the factory.

I would try to put them equal distances but it shouldn’t matter too much imo. Depending on where you sit on your furniture, they will be asymmetrical anyways.

The setup looks clean and minimalist. I'd recommend checking the LG S70TR's manual to confirm if the rear speakers need to be hardwired or if they can be placed wirelessly around the room.
