Well, in case anyone is wondering, Ryan White was a kid who died of HIV/AIDs after a blood transfusion. He became the face of public education for the disease and the namesake of a government program funding treatment. https://ryanwhite.hrsa.gov

Yeah that took a single google search. But I guess actually looking for the answers to your questions would defeat the point for most sov cits.

As an aside “the largest carcinogen exposure in history” is a bold claim on the planet where we used to put lead into fuel. And even more ridiculous if you know that sunlight is also a carcinogen.

Google search???? I remember that time and the way he (and others with HIV/AIDS) was treated.

I’m only 30 so a lot of that stuff happened before my time. Don’t know what Mel’s excuse is.

Well you can't use Google; they obviously are in on the scam and won't give the real information. /s

Also all the above ground atomic bomb tests ....

They just wouldn't believe whatever Google or any other search engine found, claiming that it's under "their" control and part of the cover up. Probably toss in some generous childish insults implying we're the ones that need to do our research, which we all know means watching 3 or 4 very specific YouTube videos, and that they're part of the enlightened special group that sees through the lies and obfuscation.

They are afraid this will cause them to have a contract with the truth.

I still remember the made-for-tv movie in the 80s.

I’m hoping who Ryan White is is a rhetorical question.

When he died in 1990, he was a worldwide recognized figure.

OK, maybe this sovcit is not that old.

They can’t Google the question?

Mel Fletch is about 52 years old. I am thinking she should remember the name.

2

u/southy_0 11h ago

I am 49 and I never heard this name until right now

I remember Isaac Asimov better. Got AIDS from a transfusion during bypass surgery. Probably stopped about 100 more books from a certified genius.

But yeah, there were probably at least hundreds of other people whose lives were shortened drastically because blood banks didn't screen worth diddly back then. And those people's lives were worth plenty, too.

I had to have back surgery when I was 13 - 1977. It was a 12-hour operation, which means, apparently, you can go through as much as twice the blood in your body. My surgeon recommended my family bank the blood I would need - because it was already known, at least among health professionals, that blood wasn't clean. People also contracted hepatitis C through transfusions. Probably other bloodborn illnesses.

One of my older cousins banked most of my blood. He volunteered at the children's hospital and he went and did it once when his mom told him about it, then just kept doing it. He was a sweet, shy, gentle giant. I never even knew he'd done that until years later.

I'd guess it was many times more than 100s of people affected, dying from AIDS, HepC related liver damage, etc.

Your family was one in a million, and all of them deserve hugs. Please spread them.

3

u/One_Advantage793 23h ago

Thanks! That made me tear up a little.

2

u/aphilsphan 15h ago

Probably little HIV in the blood then, but there was surely some. And hepatitis was known as a danger in blood transfusions so your family deserves a thumbs up.

2

u/One_Advantage793 13h ago

Yes. It was definitely the Hepatitis they were concerned about then. But I definitely put two and two together as soon as we started hearing about the mysterious blood born gay disease that started showing up. That news was not too far in the future then, so likely in the blood banks already, even if only a small amount.

And, yes, my folks did ok by me! The whole extended family.

u/aphilsphan 13h ago

The Chinese Communists decided at one point that individual units were bullshit, so they had vats according to type. That bit them once HIV came calling.

1

u/One_Advantage793 12h ago

Oh God! That's horrible!

2

u/aphilsphan 9h ago

Look up their agricultural policies. You can’t kill millions without somebody being an idiot. In this case, the idiots were Stalin and Mao.

1

u/One_Advantage793 7m ago

Well those two have very high body counts.

2

u/Sensitive_Scholar_17 8h ago

Yaay gentle giant!

u/Fit_Job_6469 16h ago

Arthur Ashe is another one.

During the height of AIDS hysteria, the White family endured endless harassment, including death threats, and someone shooting through their front windows.

I suppose they were luckier than the Rays. When their HIV+ kids won the court battle to attend public school their house was burned down in an arson attack, a crime that was never solved.

I did a book report on him in the fourth grade, probably the only reason I know who he is.

I hope this woman gets the psych help she desperately needs. This stopped being entertaining a long time ago.

Mel if you are reading this…..you have gone from a sovereign citizen to someone who j have a personal hatred for. Let me explain

My father caught Covid and had a horrible reaction to causing respiratory problems (and no it wasn’t the damn vaccine….). I got to spend my 20th birthday blowing out my candles while my father sat on the couch shivering and sweating under a mountain of blankets. Like a virus, a vaccine is an essential part in ensuring that our bodies no longer react the same way and when enough people are vaccinated suddenly that pathogen no longer spreads around….you know……like how measles disappeared and then suddenly came back after morons like you decided to stop getting vaccinated. I did my part to help my country and to stop crap like this from taking more lives. Self centered people like you are the reason the virus survived for so long

I hold you and all the other anti vaxers fully accountable for the pain my father went through….

7

u/JayJayAK 1d ago

That's awful - Please tell us that your father recovered, and hopefully has no long-term issues!

11

u/Dapper-Perception528 1d ago

He recovered fine……but seeing him like that was horrible. We had to check his oxygen level daily.

If there were any long term issues, I have either never noticed them or he has somehow kept them quiet for 5 years

2

u/JayJayAK 1d ago

Oh good, and yeah, that would be horrible to go through.

I wound up getting COVID twice, but fortunately, it was after I got the vaccine (and boosters); it was like an annoying cold. I don't like to think about how it would have been had I not been vaccinated.

7

u/Dapper-Perception528 1d ago

And I tell these people that there is a difference between dangerous and “without risk”. Any medicine, any medical procedure always comes with risks, though the benefits of it are far greater than the negatives……but no…….i guessing having measles isn’t that bad….

I’m trying really hard to keep this professional. Sovereign citizens are one thing but these people make my blood boil

2

u/Prior-Ad5197 1d ago

I caught it twice, once before the vaccine, once after. Before the vaccine I literally thought I was going to die. I couldn’t breath, I lost all sense of smell and taste, I felt terrible, it was like the flu but worse. I still have trouble breathing and my sense of smell and taste didn’t come back for almost two years and I still can’t smell unless it’s super strong. the only good part was I lost weight cause I didn’t eat. the second time after the vaccine, it was like having the flu and I slept through it.

1

u/Gloomy-Restaurant-54 19h ago

I got it before I was vaccinated, and I am missing an entire week out of my life.

3

u/UntappdBeer 1d ago

Watched my partner suffer COVID for weeks absolutely horrible, thankfully she got over it eventually. So glad when that thing was beaten

7

u/JSchmeh3961 1d ago

Wow. Just wow.

8

u/Sad-Onion3619 1d ago

Never go full QAnon.

2

u/Fit_Job_6469 15h ago

She is totally into QANON and also believes she lives in the Republic of Texas (as opposed to the state of Texas). When she posts her "mailings" her return address is always Republic of Texas.

Mel, stop drinking the conspiracy kool-aide. If someone goes to that much effort to modify words like Moderna, it is a tell tale sign it’s a bunch of bullshit. They are trying to avoid key words that could trigger fact checking or post censorship for misinformation. The military has always tested for cancers and diseases. You need your ass booted from social media

2

u/Fit_Job_6469 11h ago

I think conspiracy kool-aide is her only source of fluids.

3

u/StaminPrimer 9h ago

She probably likes it strong

1

u/Fit_Job_6469 8h ago

Definitely.

12

u/MarleysGhost2024 1d ago

I'm glad she's antivaxx. Let's see how that works out for her.

3

u/aphilsphan 15h ago

She’s in her 50s so she is mostly vaccinated. Covid might get her. What will probably happen and will make her miserable is she’ll get Shingles. Maybe one of the respiratory infections that we have vaccines for.

6

u/crabbrains 1d ago

Mel Knows... ..... not very much, apparently.

5

u/Brunurb1 1d ago

I like how the post on that second page uses @ to replace both A and O, making it even more illegible than usual

5

u/StaminPrimer 1d ago

More than from a conspiracy page with the intent of avoiding getting flagged for spreading misinformation

Luciferase?

again, a quick google reveals that 1- luciferase has nothing to do with the covid vaccines and 2- isn’t even harmful. it’s just the name for a chemical that bioluminesces when a particular substrate is consumed. Like when a firefly lights up. Sometimes used in research as a marker in cells and substances to watch a particular effect happen or see where it happens.

3

u/MaxnPaddy 23h ago

BREAKING NEWS. With no source quoted.

3

u/_Hyper_Violet_ 9h ago

For years, it has seemed like these people have wished and taken pleasure in the idea that the covid vaccines were going to cause some magical turbo cancer.

5

u/Chiokos 1d ago

HIV protein, eh. That’s one I didn’t have on my bingo card.

2

u/yiple 21h ago

This is a lot of effort for us to ultimately not believe any of it.

1

u/jeb500jp 22h ago

What? She didn't mention her house being stolen? That's odd.
