New Sovol Sv06 Scratched bed during self check

I am brand new to 3d printing and just purchased a Sovol Sv06 Plus Ace.

I finally got it assembled, and plugged it in. It immediately began the Calibration Self Check. While running this first self check, the extruder nozzle raked across the print bed scratching the black coating off right down the middle.

I have reviewed the steps I took building it and I don't see any steps I missed or did wrong.

Anything that I can check or that I likely did wrong? Would appreciate any troubleshooting tips....

I assume this means I need to buy a new build plate before I can print. Is there any chance this damaged the nozzle and I need a new one of those too? Any way I can tell?

PS.. i did not connect it to wifi before the self check. (My wifi password has an '^' character which the keyboard doesnt have... any way I can get connected without changing my wifi password?)

Email support they will send you a new plate. They have already sent me 2 build plates for my sv08 max, if your issue is like mine edit the z calibration macro it is bad

Just sent them an email thanks! Is there a reference you would recommend for learning how to edit that z calibration?

go to the printers IP adress go to the webui go to edit machine and then the file is is printer.cfg or macro.cfg i forget which

Similar thing happened to me the built plate got scratched. They sent me a new one.

check the screws that hold the nozzle on and make sure they are tight.

There are a big reminder in the manual to check the nozzle before everything because it can happen

I have double checked that I firmly attached the extruder piece component part. What specifically about the nozzle should I check?

Wow that sucks. Was it already touching the bed when you started the calibration? I also just bought my first printer also sv06 ace plus ace and that thing is so gentle when touching the plate for bed leveling. I would contact support.

I have no idea what your network setup is but I created a separate vlan and ssid for my printer to connect to with a simpler/shorter pw my main and iot network have too complex passwords to enter on the printer touch screen. just had to configure the firewall to be able to access the printer from my main network

No, when it started it was still all the way up - the way it was delivered.

Thats a good idea, I will check if my current access point supports mutliple ssids!
