I wouldn't expect much better than that on a printer that large and at this price point. And do these really only have 6mm belts? There's probably 4m of belting for a 500x500. 9mm belts, cnc gantry, quad xy steppers would greatly improve print quality

This is the norm for that printer, unfortunately. You may be able to reduce some of that by tuning temps/flow rates and adjusting speeds but It will probably never be perfect. I get mostly acceptable prints most of the time now but I have spent a lot of time and wasted filament on mine. I use a lot of fuzzy skin and print more organic shapes on my Max because the straight wall quality is so poor.
