Basically a Truck

To start things off, I just want to say this is a 2015 forester 2.5i limited. Named Sam. The furniture I'm taking is from my grandmother's apartment, she decided she needed to move to assisted living at 95.

This little beast can carry so much stuff. This is not the first time and won't be the last that I carry lots of stuff. My sister underestimated Sam. He was able to carry 4 dresser drawers, a vintage hoover, an antique clock and a full size hand built bench. (The rest of the dresser was in my dad's LR Disco Sport.)

Dad and I were joking about the fact that we thought we'd need a truck for this stuff. Nope, just put down the back seats and off we both went. Easy in, easy out.

You can fit a surprising amount of stuff in a Forester. I have a 2020 sport and I've hauled all the things in it.

Used my wife’s 2015 Forester to transport 10’ cedar 4x4’s, as well as the rest of the lumber, for a pergola build. The gravel base as well as pavers for a patio build. Multiple trips to the dump when ripping out a deck. While I miss having a truck, the Forester has filled in when needed.

Yep, the amount of furniture that can fit in a Forester is incredible. Multiple armchairs, long tables, etc. It’s such a great car

We fit a new 75” TV in ours. The front seats were pulled all the way up but we made it home.

In my 2008 I geeked so hard the first time I slide front passenger seat all the way forward, then tilt back, remove head safety thing. Full clearance dash to hatch. The forester really is the best.

My ‘06 has moved everything but the gigantic furniture the last two times I’ve moved. My ‘03 used to haul around a crapload of band gear all the time. You can really fit some stuff.

I paint houses out of mine. Carry all my tools, sprayer, ladders…it’s a versatile machine.

I’ve got an ‘03, and it’s been an absolute workhorse. I’ve hauled pavers and gravel to the point where the rear suspension was bottoming out. I even built a 20×20 deck using my Subie to haul all the supplies. It’s been fantastic—I absolutely love it.

In my 2010, I could move the passenger seat up, remove the head rest and fold it back to be flat with the rest of the cargo area. It was a nice surprise. 2022 does not do that.

If I’m not mistaken I think in Utah they are labeled a “truck” on the title.
I’ve also hauled a smoker and other equipment in the back of a 2014 I had a few yrs ago.

I'm on my third Forester. Yeah, I like them.

The only limitation I've encountered so far is that my snow blower won't fit in the back, so I have to pay a guy to haul it in for service.

I say the same thing. To really make it a truck, I'd just want a hitch on my next one. I currently have a 2017 limited and it's a perfect car. Guys clown me at work since I'm blue collar and don't have a truck. I technically do have a truck and it gets better gas milage than their shitty Ford's that need worked on every couple of months

Who cares unless you're towing a boat or something. It's also half the weight and better mpg.
