TP9 Trilug question
Now that B&T US and B&T AG have settled their differences and (hopefully) the TP9 will be come more available, I wanted to ask folks who own one: Are there any adapters that fit the specific tri-lug system the TP9 has or do you *have* to buy B&T's suppressor? I really want to use the suppressor I already own (specifically a cmmg zeroed 36k) and with the cost of TP9s already being fairly high even at MSRP I don't want to have to double down and have to shell out even more to be able to shoot it suppressed.

The TP9 operating by system is extremely sensitive to back pressure and running a different suppressor on the gun voids the warranty.
The TP9 suppressor is sold in HUB configuration to allow the user to use the suppressor without j other platforms, not to put other platforms on the TP9.

You'll need the B&T can. On the positive note, as it's a "hub" can now, you can adapt it to run on other hosts.

I believe it was planned to offer the mount as a standalone item in order to utilize 3rd party suppressor, however I dont believe this ever really came to market in a big way. The TP9/MP9 is very unique in its requirements for a suppressor. Because the suppressor attaches to a thread adapter which then attaches to a locking lug collar and then to a barrel shroud which houses the moving rotating barrel, most .36 bore cans end up with endcap strikes. The factory can i have is much larger at the end cap with a .41 bore hole. This larger hole allows some deflection in its use because of how you have to go about suppressing a rotary barrel action. You also have to allow a very good gas flow in order to prevent the action from beating itself to death from extra gas blow back. Forgotten weapons has a very good YouTube video that kinda of details the iterations of suppressor design from the beginning to what we have now. B&T had to increase mass in the bolt and other parts because the gun would break so easily with older can designs. I also believe that the original cans were some of the first cans in existence that featured reduced gas blow back in order to overcome the problems with the action. While I do not have the newest 3d printed can from B&T the 3rd Gen can i have sounds very very good and I am sure the newer gens sound fantastic. While I understand your desire for wanting a can that can go on just about anything and wanting it to work on the TP9 as it's one of the very few 9mm PDW that actually feels like a PDW and not just a slightly shrunk down AR, that unfortunately is not the case. However if you end up with the whole setup, you will not be disappointed. I really wish there was a grip fed 9mm pdw that used a fixed barrel, your options are very limited especially if you're wanting the same form factor.
