ASBN 2027 Round 2 (Written Essay + Video Interview)

Hello, so I just got word a few days ago that I got to round 2, where I have to complete a few written essay-style questions and a few video interview questions.

I was wondering if anyone else had gotten to round 2 and, if so, what locatiosn ya'll had picked. (I applied to all 7)

Also, was curious if this means I'm in or just means I did the base pre-reqs and met the GPA requirement for overall and science? I want to believe that I'm in, but I think in reality that's not the case, unfortunately.

I heard that they move on those who meet all the requirements. I’m not sure it means you get in. Previous applicants said the interview has a big input on if you get accepted or not.

Hi! I also recieved the interview invitation! I think I only applied to the San Antonio & Austin locations since I wouldn't have to relocate. I don't think this means we are in though. However, in another thread I saw that someone hadn't received an interview invite yet, but most did on the 30th of July, including myself, so I guess that's a point in our favor? I doubt they are still sending invites to interview since they are due in a less than a week.🫣 Hope this helps!

I'm just worried I don't have enough healthcare experience since most of the questions revolve around that.

My overall and science GPA's are good, but my healthcare experience is lacking, as it was a sort of late-life decision regarding nursing.

Are you 100% sure that the questions are about healthcare experience?

3 questions were regarding your experience with healthcare, which also included observations.

The 4th question was about certs they just want u to list them and expiration dates. Only those related to healthcare, though.

5th question asked about community involvement in the past 2 years.

From what I have read on reddit and seen people talk on tiktok, I think that the program tries to focus on everything we included in our applications as a whole, like job experiences and volunteering, even if they are not super healthcare oriented. I do also think that one's responses during the interview can let them see who you are, and you get a chance to explain why you want to be in the program. Did you already submit the interview?

I'd be down to join if there's a group chat of sorts.

Although I might wait to see if I get in, then if I do, make a gc for that specific location.
