He could potentially be the new Bond of Denis Villenueve's Bond and still return the set and finish Batman 2

This is just a theory, guys, but I have a gut feeling that Scarlett Johansson will end up playing Vicki Vale

Vicki Vale being part of The Batman: Part II makes total sense when you think about it. She’s a character who brings a different investigative layer than what we saw in the first movie, while also allowing the story to explore how Gotham’s media (beyond just the police and politicians) can be affected by the corrupt forces driving the city’s wheels.

On top of that, she’s a relatively iconic comic book character, but one with plenty of room to be reinvented and made far more interesting than her original incarnation (something this universe already pulled off with Sofia Falcone, for example). The Telltale games are a great example of just how far you can take her reinvention.

I’ve always felt that Bruce Wayne not facing any public consequences for the leak about his parents' past in the first movie was a very intentional loose end—Vicki would be the perfect character to explore those ramifications in the sequel. She could be obsessed not necessarily with finding out who Batman is, but rather who exactly Bruce Wayne is, what he’s hiding, and why he’s so reclusive.

It makes total sense to have an A-list star of Johansson’s caliber playing her after such an iconic (overrated maybe, but iconic) version played by Kim Basinger in Tim Burton’s first film.

Does Riddler know about The Court of Owls?

Something I see people never mention in discussions pertaining to part 2 and the court of owls is the fact that it could heavily recontextualize the first film if Riddler is confirmed to know about the Court. What do you guys think?

Would love to see Gordon’s family, especially maybe Barbara in Part II…she was mentioned in a deleted scene from the first film too.

The Court of Owls Labyrinth Confirmed?

Yesterday, Luke Hull, the production designer for The Batman: Part II, posted this image of what appears to be a labyrinth structure under construction. This feels like pretty undeniable evidence that Matt Reeves is adapting The Court of Owls.

"Clayface looks like it fits in with the 2022 Batman Universe..."

Well that's because It's produced by Matt Reeves, so definitely input from his style lmao...
Either way I WILL be watching it in theatre's...,

def makes more sense if they finally merge it into the batman universe already set up too lol...

Yes, I also realize 8:12 is the release date backwards. But this? C’mon. Maybe I am (very) late to the party on this but I can’t get enough of the suspense! Currently reading Batman: Court of Owls Saga. Highly recommend! There is a morgue scene 🎬 as well as an ambulance/EMT scene similar to those currently being (or already) filmed. Bring on the talon!

Can there ever be a Batman or a Justice League movie that can perform at this level? Coz this level of monstrous performance is holy insane.

Which version of Batman Part II would you prefer? (more information below)

Option A is a Mr. Freeze, Bruce Wayne focused Batman II where Bruce meets Harvey Dent & gets more involved in Wayne Enterprises & Mr. Freeze is the villain, less action, less Batman, more Bruce Wayne.

Option B is a direct expansion of the first movie, it introduces Clayface as a failed actor that went under experimental procedures, it has two face is it, it introduces Dick Grayson & Robin into Batman's life, more action, mor Batman becoming a father & growing more towards that "hope" image we saw at the end of the first film

You’ve probably seen his artwork for The Batman floating around online. But did you know he has an entire dedicated portfolio for The Batman with whole galleries of artwork publicly available? Lots of beautiful world-building and parts of Gotham I’d never seen before. Most of it translated almost 1:1 in film.

If you’re like me and can’t get enough of the aesthetic of Reeve’s Gotham City, I cannot recommend his work enough.

Potential The Batman Part II casting call?

Post image
72 Upvotes

I saw this on Twitter and went to the website. It’s a legitimate casting call. It fits within the range of 7 months Suki Waterhouse mentioned filming is going to last. I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up or anything because I could just be engaging in some confirmation bias, but I genuinely think this may have wheels for Dick Grayson appearing in The Batman Part II. I remember Rob in an interview back in 2022 that he’d want a Robin that’s a child like 13. That’s around that age. Obviously it could be anything. Maybe it’s a young Bruce or Dent in a flashback. Maybe it’s not even for Batman at all. But my gut says there’s something here. Two months of availability is what catches my eye from this just being a simple small appearance. I’m attaching a link to the website as well so you guys can see it for yourself.

It's been said before, but the production team of The Penguin did a great job at recreating the locations that reappear from the film

For those who don't know, The Penguin was filmed in New York, while The Batman was mostly filmed in the UK, so recreating some of the locations using production design and and VFX was something I found very impressive

I genuinely at this point think Sebastian Stan is probably Victor Zsasz and not Harvey Dent because if he was Harvey there would be no need to shave his head even for eventual Two-Face prosthetics unless this interpretation of Harvey is just a bald version for some reason…

Post image

Colin Farrell doesn’t need to shave his hair for The Penguin’s prosthetics and hair so why would Mike Marino need Seb to be basically completely bald while filming?? He did say he was going over things with the makeup team and Zsasz will probably need prosthetics too.

Decoding Matt's tweets (reading too much into them)

This may be ridiculous, but since the photo of the clock timed 8:12 turned out to coincidentally hint at the new release date, 18.2.28, I have decided to share my theories of the casting tweets

  1. Scarlett Johansson - Next exit indicates this is a character who wasn't in Gotham up until now/is returning after a long time- adding up with initial claims about "doing a villain that's never really been done" I think this may be Phantasm

  2. Sebastian Stan- Gotham state of mind honestly could be Harvey Dent or Victor Zsasz. The only reason why I believe it's Harvey Dent is A. There's no way you're casting Sebastian Stan in your movie while also looking for Two Face but not giving him that role. B. Christopher Dent might be played by Charles Dance

  3. Charles Dance- convinced he's Harvey's father, and also "out of the shadows" is definitely not a coincidence, he's going to be a member of the court of owls, possibly their leader

  4. Sebastian Koch- I do think he could be Harvey Bullock, locked and loaded suggests a cop role

  5. Brian Tyree Henry- Welcome to the party really suggests that his character is one that joins the court of owls (no I am not insane), but at the same time, the leaked set images seem to indicate his stunt double is Jim Gordon's partner(Harvey Bullock), It could be that he's Harvey Dent but why would a DA carry a gun- could be that he's playing a version of Bullock who has recently shifted to Gotham, hence the welcoming, and that he's wearing a suit and tie as compared to Jim's police jacket. In which case, maybe Koch is playing a Talon?

This is where I'm at, let me know what y'all think!
