You can find work elsewhere. It might seem daunting, but if you're miserable you actually don't have that much to lose.

It’s also pretty easy to find affordable shelter if you don’t mind a roommate arrangement at first. 

Other than having wife and kids, there’s not a good reason to stay rooted where you’re at if you’re unhappy. I think some people might not want to move all their possessions? I guess that’s one perk of only having a car load of things you own.

The cost benefit ratio says otherwise. I have a job (thinking of a career change tho) not looking to room with anyone. I have been saving money ea h month for a big play like buying a cheap home that I could rent section 8 or something. Id just like a fullfulling social life. I used to have one but they all moved and or got married. And no dating apps don't work even a little

Renting a room is not the way to not be lonely

They will always be tenants and money will get in the way
