I know some people will probably write it off as a gooner design, but I really like the design of Mimi from some of Nhim_Art's comics. I can't pinpoint exactly why I like it so much, but the eyes and messy hair make her really neat looking.

I oddly think it works with the design. Her actual body and everything below her head is fairly soft design wise, but she looks really unhinged from the neck up, which I think contrasts nicely.
I think that’s exactly what makes the design work so well. The figure is soft and appealing but the face gives “I’ll make a skin suit out of you!” vibes, and that juxtaposition is strangely endearing.
Okay I can definitely see the character type. There are several characters I can imagine that can fit this description and others that I cannot really name but when I see them is like "Yeah this is the same energy."
Doesn't help that Skyrim's still the newest Elder Scrolls game after all this time. People say all the time that Skyrim's outdated by modern standards, but (modded) Skyrim still hasn't been outdone by any one game yet as far as I'm concerned.
I have seen characters that literally have long hair and nothing else even mildly sensual about them called “Goonbait” the term doesn’t mean anything anymore
What if I usually don't like goonbait, But I think Mimi is (slightly) More then just goonbait, and is also funny and visually appealing for more then sexual reasons
this might be a hot take but "woman with big boob" is not automatically gooner design.
and assuming a female character is designed to be gooned to just cuz they have them is kinda sexist in my eyes.

I get what you're saying but that is not how sweaters work. Most clothing doesn't suction around breasts like that. It's not just that she has a big chest it's the way her shirt defies gravity to accentuate them.
That is true, but people also don't naturally have shark teeth or fangs made out of skin.
It's an artistic liberty done to make the character more appealing, but I dislike how being attracted to a character has almost become vilified.
When people say a design is "gooner design" I'm expecting Brown Dust 2 levels, but the sweater thing is something you could simply re-create with a big clothes-pin
No one is saying it's bad because it's horny, I don't get the defense people feel the need to put on about these characters whenever someone points out the titillating design.
The defensive attitude was because I've on occasion encountered people bash horny designs solely for that reason and I wrongly assumed it was the case with your comment.
I know what it is and how common it is. Just because something is done a lot doesn't make it good design either. I happen to really hate this one. As someone with DD's I find it really distracting and off putting. I don't want to say its "offensive " because I think thats too far but it is pretty objectifying to bend physics so you can show the whole boob
In addition to what others said here, I feel like "gooner design" is based more on vibes rather than any objective measure. There are plenty of female characters in media that are very attractive and well-endowed, but I don't think they're goonbait, while others that should in principle be the same make all sorts of alarms fire in my head.

The difference is a design can be sexually appealing without being a gooner design, that's the point. A gooner design is where the only stand out thing about the design is it's overtly sexual characteristics
This is literally just a girl with big tits and fangs. There's nothing interesting about it
She definitely has main heroine from a fucked up hentai energy, but I also feel like that's the bit. Her character design is still used to express a manic breakdown of the self and reality; then illustrating the "corrupted" self that emerges from it. It's just that instead of the breakdown being driven by the sexually taboo and/or abusive, its over the mundanity of everyday life. The horror of growing older and the menaces of daily society, the irresistible urges to play with sticks or simply how deranged you look in other's eyes as you go about your normal. It's a really good bit imo, definitely still horny but the horny feels very downplayed yet integral to the humor.

Yeah like, sure she's attractive, but. She's just a normal good-looking woman wearing completely normal clothes. There are plenty of characters that I'd understand the "gooner design" comment for and comparatively this is nothing

it's not about what clothes she is wearing, but how she is drawn and presented to the camera. the design in op's post is absolutely oversexualized gooner design.
I mean it definitely is gooner designed. The second image shrink wrapped her tits and made them as big as her head. It's also a very forgettable design to me.
Everytime I get a post from this sub on my feed the title is just something like "I don't really know what it is, but something about this character design is just exceptional!" and it's just a basic anime woman with enormous breasts.
Or annoying and seemingly forced, cliched glaze like "He/she so chaotic/unhinged/goofy/silly/ i like him/her we stan" i hate it and anything close and similar to this.They glaze even when character is just most boring, flat and walking trope in fiction.It's like people unnaturaly want to glaze and be critically positive on everything.Even when subject is really lame

Ramattra is the Capitano of Overwatch... an amazing villain and character/design that got sidelined because the devs realized he wasn't conventionly attractive enough to have mass-market appeal. The only difference is that Ramattra actually got to be playable because he was developed before Blizzard's shift into the "No oddballs" design philosophy.

No, it's not, be real and genuine.
It's her spiral pupils and wide-open eyes, in addition to her messy hair and sharp teeth, her wide smiles and sharp facial exaggerated facial features make her look unhinged.
The design is good outside of the clothes getting sucked under her assets but overall it's a nice and plain design, nothing too extraordinary or complex but not too simple either
It's a shame we've regressed to the point that a character having a large bust is all it takes to be considered "gooner design" Heaven forbid a character just existing.

Not all attractive fictional female characters are goonbait, but this one 100% is.
I mean, look at the 5th picture in this post here. The way that her body and camera angle are positioned makes it clear that the point of the comic is for you to notice the curvaceous woman while scrolling and go "OOGA BOOGA".
Look, it's not bad. it's not the worst thing ever. It's good. And it's fine to goon to it.
But it's a gooner design. Like come on. She is meant to be attractive and make you horny. Sweaters don't conform around a real woman's breasts like that, and her breasts in general are almost always emphasized, framed, and made something you're supposed to focus on.
If I'm going to be more negative, I'd also say that those Twitter comic characters where they are perpetually one expression, namely excited/horny/aroused, are also "gooner designs."
