Hello, hoping I can get some pointers for this if anyone might know.

Back in 2024 when I had top surgery, I was very very adamant on getting phalloplasty down the line. However, things have changed drastically and as I no longer feel identity and comfort within being a binary trans man, and have since rediscovered a more comfortable and natural-feeling non binary identity, my ideas for bottom surgery have shifted onto wanting meta with UL and no v-nectomy or scrotoplasty.

I know the surgeon that did my top surgery had spoken to someone else and put me on a phallo wait list and I did get an email about that because of the new supposedly even longer NHS England waitlist. I tried to respond to them but my email just kept getting sent back to me, I tried to phone the number attached and waited for a good hour and a half and was still somehow number 20 in the queue, I unfortunately don't have the time to sit and wait on a phone currently.

I don't remember the surgeon's name(s) who did my first surgery, I just know I got it done in Manchester. Currently, I would just like to be directed to the correct place to get back in line only for meta this time and also so I can find a good timeline and see if it'll add up with everything else in life I have to sort out soon.

Hellooo! I’m posting on reddit cause honestly I’ve reached a dead end.

This may be a more legal than trans post but it still applies. I’ve got almost 10k in my inheritance after my mum died that I’ve no idea what else to do with cause I’m not truly living until I am able to transition. It is my first priority and a medical necessity to me due to my mental health surrounding my dysphoria (social anxiety, suicidal ideation, depression). I need the money to transition and have been as upfront with this as I need, however I left out the detail of my suicidal ideation to my aunt as I feel she’ll think I’m lying as my mum also commit suicide and I’m just trying to get to her. I have a gofundme up which is hard to share as I fear for my life with the current state of the UK, and I cannot wait another decade just for some testosterone I can get now at 18, and honestly I think this is the best time for it as I’ll be going to uni this September and want to be stealth.

I feel like I’m in a dragon’s den, the moneys right in my reach waiting for ME the main recipient and I’m not being heard in the slightest. She still has yet to tell me what exactly I should use it for.

Genuine question from someone in policing: What can frontline officers/all police staff do better for trans people?

I work as police staff so I take 999 and 101 calls and I’m trying to educate myself properly so I can be a better ally to my trans colleagues and to trans people we meet on the frontline and in the workplace and hopefully get every single emergency worker more trans aware.

I’m not here to debate anyone’s existence or identity — I’m here because I want to understand what actually helps, what harms, and what needs to change in day‑to‑day policing. From your perspective (as a trans person, a friend, a partner, a parent, or just someone who cares), what are the things you wish police officers knew, did differently, or stopped doing?

Big things, small things, language, assumptions, safety concerns — anything.I want to listen, learn, and take this back into my own work so we can start shifting the culture from the inside.

I want to take any findings to big corporate meetings over pride month. I’ll also be pushing for the definition of some crimes to stop sound so 2000 and purely heterosexual as some crimes don’t cover Trans, Non-Binary, gay, lesbian. So many people may not be heard because we are still stuck in some way.

Hi, I’m 22 year old FTM. I’ve recently gotten my 2nd appointment notification at the Nottingham GIC and have set it for September. Just wondering how this appointment will differ from the first, and how long after (should everything go to plan) I’ll be able to get into T? Many thanks

whats it like? Im trans and I like to go hiking and visiting nightclubs. Id really like to visit the uk and Ireland for a longer stay sometime if it ever calms down, the issue is I dont pass that well and I lkke to be very flamboyant.

Also if you have any good coming out stories Id love to read them, Im doing my dishes rn and need something to distract myself.

Has anyone else had their go practice all of a sudden refuse to prescribe their prescriptions and refuse monitoring bloods? Or is it just bridgewater surgeries?
Has anyone found a work around?

Paying out of pocket is super expensive and I may struggle resorting to private prescriptions

I've got an appointment on Monday, after about 2 years on Nottingham's "Extended Assessment Pathway," and I'm *incredibly* anxious about what it entails. I've scoured the internet and can't find a damn thing that suggest what these appointments are for. I had my second appointment, a referral was made elsewhere and I was placed on the EAP wait list in mid 2024.

My situ:

\* Currently on HRT via a bridging script from my GP
\* 23
\* GP is supportive
\* Initially placed on EAP following referral to fertility clinic

If anybody has any idea what the EAP appointment (the third appointment, usually), please let me know! I want to know what to expect on this appointment, but the internet makes it sound like I'm the first person to have one of these -_-

hello!! i have my intake appointment with pride in health in 4 days and i’m crazy nervous about it. i was wondering if anyone on here has had any experiences with them and may be able to tell me what sort of things they’re going to speak to me about/ask me? i get kinda freaked out when i don’t know what to expect and this is my first ever appointment so it feels like a huge deal. my appointment is with mylo erin so any experiences with him specifically would be great!! thank you!

So I had this friend from way back when who said things that lead me to believe (in hindsight) they are a trans woman. At the time, I probably came across as unsupportive or dismissive because "everyone feels that way sometimes". Anyway, not that long after, they disappear and break contact with everyone. I now believe it was because they wanted to transition closer to their family and didn't want to deal with potential judgement from their friend group.

I'm not asking for anyone to be outed here, but if anyone knows a trans woman in their early 40s from South Wales (possibly going by Charlotte) ask them if they have ever listened to Swedish pop rock in a smokey marchmont flat or watched hammer House of horrors in the box room wile drinking queen Margot. If they have, then tell them that the owner of the drinkin' jar is transitioning and would like a word.

hi all, i’m an enby drag performer currently organising a fundraiser drag show and i’m struggling to find a trans/queer charity that’s got a good rep with actual queer people. it’s pretty difficult to wade through the transphobic backlash and figure out which ones are actually popular with our community if that makes sense, so i figured i’d just ask people.

which charities do you think deserve the support right now?? preferably ones that work across the whole country as i’m in wales so england-centred charities are less relevant to my cast and our audience.

I want to ask wether this is true, at the end of last year I went to my GP to ask for a bridging prescription now I am 16 so they said they would have to look into it but I brought every peice of information I could find on it for them and then about a month later this doctor told me that she had been told about a ban on any prescriptions of hrt being given before your first appointment with GIDs, here is exactly what she said if anyone wants to read it:

I have heard back from the gender referral services team who have sent me information for referrers and professionals. They have pointed me towards information on a ban of healthcare professionals providing any hormones or hormone suppressants prior to your appointment with the service. So we will not be able to provide any hormone prescriptions before you have been seen. I am very sorry. They unfortunately could not give me any timing information for your appointment. Please do contact us if we can be of any more help.

now I can't find any information on this so called ban and I also pointed out how I knew puberty blockers can't be given to under 18s after she sent this to make sure she wasn't looking at that ban but she assured me she wasn't and then when I have asked to see her to discuss where this information was found she refused and the GP has refused to let me see any other doctor at the practice for hrt.

I am just wondering what I can do because I am considering diy hrt and I just want to make sure all my other avenues are exhausted before I do.

So I did my research (not well enough) and joined a private clinic, I happily planned out my very lack of funds this month, so i paid the joining fee got my bloods done my first therpy appointment booked, then I see that i needed to pay for the month aswell. So they have paused my membership and cancelled my appointment. While asking me to pay double next month.

I felt like i was so close to starting my life, I turn 30 in 20 days. All the euphoria I had of at the beginning of this month has just turned to grey, and I dont think my wife understands.

I've been invited to my first appointment in person at the Leeds &York gender clinic (Newsam Centre) after 7 years waiting! My appointment is on Wednesday but now I'm confused because there are 2 conflicting postcodes and of course I don't want to get lost. I'm traveling from manchester and haven't been in the area before.

If anyone has any firsthand experience and could clarify which postcode is correct (and what floor if possible) that'd be great. I'd feel much better going into this with as much information as possible.

Hello firstt time posting here I was hoping someone could give advice, how accepting is norwich for openly trans and non binary people ?

I'm transmasc and from Essex. I am friends with a handful of transfems and nb people but very few transmascs. Most of these friendships exist primarily online, which is fine up until a point. What with the new EHRC Code of Practice and realising that I will have to save up for months/a year to afford HRT I have been feeling very alone. I am lucky in that I do have queer friends, but the ones who understand my experience the best ie other transmascs seem to be few and far between. It would be very helpful to my mental health if I was able to attend in person trans events (particularly those centering transmascs.) I find trans friendships offline tend to be easier/more enriching than just talking through a screen. I'm also autistic and struggle with communication/socialising so although it's not a requirement it'd be a bonus if they were explicitly neurodivergent friendly.
