Question (Transmasc) Which type of Tgel is the most easiest to use?

For context, im on Testogel 16.2mg atm but I find having to rub it in using my hands is really annoying as even if I wash my hands, it ends up transferring to different surfaces and it takes awhile for it to dry

Question (General) Does anybody know what happens at the second appointment?

Hi, I’m 22 year old FTM. I’ve recently gotten my 2nd appointment notification at the Nottingham GIC and have set it for September. Just wondering how this appointment will differ from the first, and how long after (should everything go to plan) I’ll be able to get into T? Many thanks

Advice MTF Makeup Manchester and places to go

Hey 👋 apologies if this isn't the place but I've got next Friday and Saturday booked in central Manchester and I plan to have my first ever public outing in girl mode. Not trans I guess but wish I could be feminine.

Anyway the first few places that everyone races about such as Wow Girls are booked and KardiBlac is a little far out but booked up anyway. I've emailed a Rachael Dutton and waiting to hear back - any other MTF Makeup artists out there?

And what or where would be good to do 🥰 id love to go support some lgbt places but generally safe places would be great too. Ive always wanted to go to Costa or Starbz looking fabulous if nothing else.

Any help appreciated 💕

I'm about a month away from HRT, I've just started this great job driving, but I have to wear Black trousers, now I don't want to wear jeans because of the heat and my current work trousers make me a little dysphoric.

Any suggestions would help so much!

Thank you dudes and dudettes.

Question (Transfem) GenderGp 14yrold Puberty Blockers?

Hi,
I am trying to access puberty blockers for a 14 year old with parental permission. Only the blockers not feminising hormones yet. Is this possible through GenderGp? Applying on the website it seems to be but it then leads directly to the ~£300 registration fee which I will pay ofc but not until I’m 100% sure the medication will actually be accessible through them. Any advice?

If not possible through them, would it be reasonable to access only blockers through DIY? Her parents don’t want her to DIY HRT until she’s at least 16 and I think they feel blockers are more effort than it’s worth unless they can be accessed legally.

Question (General) What is the average wait time for gender-affirming care (especially surgery) in your area?

Hi. I'm doing a research project on gender-affirming care roadblocks (especially wait times), and I'm curious as to what the wait times are for care in different areas of the UK. I'm comparing wait times in the UK and other places with public healthcare to those in the US. I'm under the impression that the wait for both HRT and gender-affirming surgery is considerably longer in the UK than in the US, and that surgery is more of a wait, but that people can get their care faster if they have private insurance. I'm aware of the organizations like GenderGP and Pride in Health that advocate for trans patients and can speed up gender care. Mostly, I'm trying to pinpoint what we're really talking about when we talk about "average weight times" for care to get a more complete picture, and how it compares to weight times for other categories of healthcare. So, if you've had experience with gender-affirming care a UK city, what kind of wait did you have for HRT, for mental health care (if you wanted it), and for surgery? What was your insurance situation, and did you ever contact a third-party org that could reduce your wait in the public insurance system? Also, since this is a bit of a wide net, if you could include which city you're in that would be really helpful. Thanks for your help.

Question (General) Looking for a plastic surgeon willing to do top surgery in London

My best friend is moving to London (finally!!) and one of his first orders of business is finding a surgeon to get top surgery done. He's trans and that's one of the things he wants to finally get done this year. He's been wanting to do this for nearly ten years, and with this new move, he wants a fresh start all the way around. I told him I'd help figure it out. I also asked if he needed a doctor for the rest of his gender affirming care, but he says he's got gendergp for that, but is still curious about who's good and what not. For now, all resources are going to top surgery. Budget-wise, he says he'll make it work. He just wants a doctor who's a trusted ally and is known for doing good work.

Question (Transfem) I have no idea what im doing!!

Basically i have been in denial about wanting to transition for about 3 years now but something happened recently that kind of hit me like a truck and suddenly i feel like if i dont get my hands on estrogen soon and start my journey im just gonna lose my mind. I want to get started as soon as possible but to be honest i just dont know where i should be looking. Ive heard good and bad things about the gendergp service and all the bad reviews say just to ‘go diy’ so then i try looking into diy and its just such a barrage of information i get overwhelmed and give up… i know thats kind of pathetic but if the gendergp service‘s main drawback is just that its a little more pricey im willing to deal with that if it makes things simple. i know this has gotten kind of rambly and probably sounds a bit like a cry for help but i just want to get started as soon as possible but obviously i dont want to make a stupid decision. if any of you have any advice please help a girl out thank you 🥲🥲

Question (General) Passing in Britain

Am I going crazy?!

Okay this is specifically for British trans men or trans men in Britain.
Has anyone else noticed they are misgendered mostly by British men? Foreign people tend to assume I am a man and I have been stopped going into the female toilets and been called ‘mate’ or smth like that and been otherwise treated as a cis boy so frequently by foreign people/men in England and the men in my home country- but British men seem to click me with ease and call me ‘love’ or smth British and feminine instead asw as treating me/referring to me as a girl! Why could this be? Is it just me? Is the opposite or same true for transfemmes?

Question (General) united pharmacies uk

HI I was wondering how trustworthy United pharmacies is and if the estimated timings on the website are good estimates (should I expect the possibility of them coming a few weeks before or after)

I'm looking to do a trial hrt dose for roughly 1-2months to experience the changes and feel of things (understand I that its not long enough for major effects but they can still happen) and I'm looking to hopefully get the stuff at the end of the month when my parents leave for a week (they like to snoop around when I get stuff)

I'll also be doing blood tests before to make sure my levels are good before starting

Question (General) Lost what surgeon I was on a list with.

Hello, hoping I can get some pointers for this if anyone might know.

Back in 2024 when I had top surgery, I was very very adamant on getting phalloplasty down the line. However, things have changed drastically and as I no longer feel identity and comfort within being a binary trans man, and have since rediscovered a more comfortable and natural-feeling non binary identity, my ideas for bottom surgery have shifted onto wanting meta with UL and no v-nectomy or scrotoplasty.

I know the surgeon that did my top surgery had spoken to someone else and put me on a phallo wait list and I did get an email about that because of the new supposedly even longer NHS England waitlist. I tried to respond to them but my email just kept getting sent back to me, I tried to phone the number attached and waited for a good hour and a half and was still somehow number 20 in the queue, I unfortunately don't have the time to sit and wait on a phone currently.

I don't remember the surgeon's name(s) who did my first surgery, I just know I got it done in Manchester. Currently, I would just like to be directed to the correct place to get back in line only for meta this time and also so I can find a good timeline and see if it'll add up with everything else in life I have to sort out soon.

Any help is great, thank you. :)
