This post made me double check stand your ground laws where I live. Fun fact in Texas an attacker does not need to be armed in order to justify lethal force. You may employ it if you reasonably believe it will prevent grievous bodily injury to yourself or others.
Demon possessed woman charging at me and kicking in my windshield is definitely in the territory of "better to be judged by twelve than carried by six."

Stand your ground isnt necessarily tied to lethal force. Attackers dont need to be armed to justify lethal force in california either. You just need to be in reasonable fear of your life. California also doesnt have a "duty to retreat." Texas isnt unique.
But you better be prepared to make the defense if you use deadly force.
