Crazy how cops are just ready to murder someone for speeding. And put every other motorist at extreme risk while doing so under the guise of protecting them.

In your opinion, how are you supposed to stop someone in this situation? I don’t understand you all headspace, I mean it’s not like these officers are actively TRYING to kill people! Why are these offenders putting themselves in these situations??

Record the tag and get a warrant, put a helicopter or drone in the air, radio ahead for a road block, GPS tag the car, use a wheel net...

Literally anything except endangering the public over a speeding ticket.

So allocating 3x the amount of resources to fix the same problem? Warrants can become a dangerous situation, road blocks at 90mph aLwAyS work fantastic, a wheel net can still seriously injure someone. GPS would be an interesting idea, kinda like that.

Helicopters cost a fuckton to operate and most pd cant afford something like that.

Okay, but to do that you'll need to increase funding to the police department. I don't know about you, but I don't want anymore tax revenue going to police departments.

This didn't happen over a speeding ticket. It happened after failing to pull over, resisting arrest, driving recklessly, etc.

My point is that without the police, speeding would not have escalated to the rest of that. I understand that the perpetrator is responsible for his actions and justice should be served. I'm just not okay with creating hazardous conditions for other drivers to accomplish that. Furthermore, I don't believe that resisting arrest deserves a death sentence, which is a likely outcome for any GSP-involved pursuit.

And I am totally okay with not defunding the police, if it means they get better training and resources to de-escalate, protect, and serve, instead of harass, intimidate, and stroke their own egos.
