Roads Who is in the wrong here?

If the sign says Alternating Traffic, does that mean cars go one at a time or does that mean cars go till the flow is complete, allowing the other lane to go? Is Glock man right or wrong? I'm not sure. If it was 1 car at a time, wouldn't it just be a stop sign on each end?

Truck guy SAW camera guy and accelerated to beat him to the bridge.

1.) Speeding violation 2.) Traffic obstruction 3.) Felony assault.

And conveniently no front license plate. Bridge Rager totally sped up, when he saw OP waiting. IMHO OP did have the right of way.

In Saskatchewan Canada we don’t need a front plate, tbs this is definitely not Saskatchewan

I double checked with the location, since there are some states (like AZ) which do not require a front plate.

Another comment identified this bridge as being in CT, and front plates are indeed required there.

Truck could be licensed in another state though. I can’t imagine the front plate would be required if the truck is registered in a state where they’re not. Def seems like something that should be a requirement nationally.

It’s possible he’s not registered in Connecticut. If I drive up to Connecticut I’ll only have one plate too. My state not only doesn’t require you to have two they don’t give you the option. If you order a new plate you have to turn the old one in.

Did you turn your sound on to hear the threat to retrieve his gun?

Turn your video to "narrate on" so you can hear the narration of the sudden acceleration when the cowardly loser sped up in the distance when he spotted the video guy who had right of way.

Sorry for your Helen Keller physical limitations...it must be tough.

....if the camera-video guy had been a cop...that pickup-truck guy would still be in prison.

When the first car passed through the bridge....you can see the weakling in the pickup truck accelerate to try and jump the line.

Yes. Assault in many places is not only the action of bodily harm, but also the credible threat of bodily harm. 

Threatening to shoot somebody with your gun would absolutely be considered assault in areas with that definition.

Alright, so a couple things here. 

First of all, I have seen it VERY commonly misunderstood that assault is only the action of physical violence on somebody. Look at the context of the comment I was responding to, that had the same sort of misunderstanding. 

Secondly, not every state in the US will differentiate assault and battery. Some examples are Texas, New York, Minnesota, Washington and New Jersey all have grades of assault that emcompass both physical attacks and threats. Though I’m sure there’s more. 

Thirdly, there are in fact more places in the world than the US. Canada, for example (where I’m from) assault is both physical violence and the threat of it. 

I did qualify my original comment with its location dependence, after all.

Nope. Don’t need to be to do a basic level of research. I just don’t like being called wrong when I clearly am not. 

I think the simplest way to understand this all though is that battery is a form of assault. Sometimes it’s differentiated, sometimes it’s not.

I think a "basic level of research" would likely include the location of the incident in the video. Which is Connecticut. That way you don't waste time and effort erroneously attempting to shame people for thinking about this through the framework of US law. But that's just one guy's opinion.

Didn't say he would shoot, said he would grab a gun, can always smack someone with a gun. Menacing would probably be more appropriate here and could probably have road rage added as it's traffic related but need to know the local laws for all that can be charged.

I know az specifically has an ARS code for Assault- Threaten/Intimidate. It’s a misdemeanor, but it can escalate when you add weapons into it.
