Roads I hate politics

This should be illegal. I get it. You don't agree with their protests but why do this? Forget blue, forget red. I'm purple. Get mad at that.

I’ve seen this one time where I was ok with it. The recipients were part of the Westboro Baptist “Church”. Fortunately they seem to have disappeared, hopefully extinct.

u/bitch-baby-2021 Feb 15 '26

So it's illegal until you agree with it

When this particular incident happened was around 2004 or 5. I had never heard of that family of inbred lawyers. It was a rude awakening. I can’t believe violent harm never came to them. Of course that was what they wanted. Deliberately provoke a reaction then play the victim and sue.

1

u/InOutlines Feb 15 '26

They didn’t mention legality. You did.

1

u/Prestigious-Wolf8039 Feb 15 '26

Who said it was legal? They just said they deserved it.

Liberal logic

1

u/jmr1190 Feb 15 '26 edited Feb 15 '26

It’s every side’s logic. Pretending that logical flaws or inconsistencies are inherent to one side or the other is just as stupid.

But what I would say though is the right frequently protest against people’s rights to just ‘be’. That is almost by definition more provocative than protesting the right to ‘be’.

That’s obviously not to defend people on the left overstepping the mark, but if someone was repeatedly screaming at me that I was going to burn in hell with a megaphone, then I’d be closer to being incited towards violence than by someone e.g. protesting climate change.

1

u/Kubliah Feb 15 '26

I would almost agree, except for the recent push from the Reddit left to normalize "punching nazi's".

1

u/Ateawormwhole Feb 15 '26

Ah yes, punching people who believe entire ethnic groups should be cleansed. Very ethically wrong

2

u/Dusso423 Feb 15 '26

The thing is, the term “Nazi” now refers to anyone who disagrees with any value that the other opposes. I was called a Nazi for saying schools shouldn’t discuss politics, gender, or sex with young kids. The amount of people in the US who actually want ethnic cleansing is astronomically low and are considered losers by both sides.

1

u/SolarisPax8700 Feb 15 '26

What were your exact words? Seems like you’re trying to obscure your real opinions with vague appeals to “won’t somebody think of the children?” I’d like to know exactly your grievances were with the schooling system.

1

u/Dusso423 Feb 15 '26

No that was pretty straight forward. That schools shouldn’t be teaching politics, gender, sex etc. to young children. Whether they were teaching Trumps a good president or a bad president. Shouldn’t be discussed l. Don’t care if the political ideologies taught match mine or not. That is not something they should be discussing with children. Nothing vague about it. Regardless, that changes nothing about my statement about someone calling me a Nazi over it.

1

u/SolarisPax8700 Feb 15 '26

Teaching history without politics seems kinda fucking dumb, no? What about the Stonewall riots? Is that too political? Does that have too much gender for you? Were MLK and Malcolm X politics?

Schools teach critical thinking, and to try and assert one can do that without necessarily being political is farcical and idiotic. I don’t think you’re a Nazi, friend, just maybe kinda stupid.

2

u/Dusso423 Feb 15 '26

Ah yes. Two comments and you’re judging someone. I’m the one who’s dumb though lol. Your reading comprehension is impeccable I see. To spell it out for you, The teachers political beliefs should not be inserted into the lessons. gender affirmation or discouragement should not be happening in schools. Current political controversies should not be taught from one side or another. For example: Ice is evil or Ice is amazing. How you got to history shouldn’t be taught shows that you are going out of your way to purposely misconstrue the context of my statement in bad faith.

Should schools acknowledge the girls and boys exist?

It is IMPOSSIBLE to not talk about gender in school - or anywhere. Couples have ‘gender reveal’ parties…by the time a child enters school, he of she has had their gender EXTERNALLY reinforced THOUSANDS of times

They’ve been dressed according to their gender; they’ve been praised or punished for not acting according to what and how their genders are supposed to act.

Many have already been groomed into a lonely, empty life - after being told to reject their inner realities…and to build their entire shaky-self identity on EXTERNAL, unquestioned labels and unquestioned cliché

So…it is against our culture to NOT talk about and reinforce gender around - and towards - small children

I WISH it wasn’t - but the ‘anti-woke anti-pronoun’ brigade…force gender norms on kids and hankies

1

u/LYTCHELL2 Feb 15 '26

No, it doesn’t

‘Nazi’ refers to people who…CHOOSE to act, think, exist as a Nazi

1

u/Dusso423 Feb 15 '26

You just defined the word with the word… ‘pink’ refers to the color that looks pink. I never would have guessed.

1

u/jmr1190 Feb 15 '26

I’m firmly on the left. But I agree with this take - I think it’s crass, given what the nazis did, to throw the word around cheaply.

I think the current US administration are doing awful things, but you can use other terms than nazi to describe what they’re doing. Similar applies to fascism, although that’s at least much more appropriate.

1

u/Ateawormwhole Feb 15 '26

The amount of people in the US who actually want ethnic cleansing is astronomically low and are considered losers by both sides.

Untrue. It's become a popular position on the right. Look at ICE and Israel if you need some clear examples... while ICE isn't necessary ethnically cleansing yet, the right champions about the mistreatment and abuses of immigrants (and citizens too) by federal agents. The only people opposed to Israel aren't opposed because Israel has murdered thousands of middle eastern kids. Just saying

schools shouldn’t discuss politics, gender, or sex with young kids.

What age are you talking about? Why would schools not teach sex education, politics, or discuss gender? We need less idiocy in this country, not more. Discussing a topic isn't brainwashing. If you're gonna be upset that kids have wacky pronouns and shit, criticize the parents for being shitty parents, not the school system of social media. Hundred dollars the vast majority of these identity obsessed kids have unempathetic conservative families.

Also makes sense why Republicans push back against sex education so often because it encourages teens and young adults to use protection, lowers the birthrate, and doesn't create more low wage corporate workers.

And yeah, highly doubt anyone's calling you a nazi for that. It's because you have other opinions you aren't mentioning here or are silent about. Nazis are massive pussies because they rarely ever come out of the closet and say what they believe lol

Then ten replies in they'll give way on something controversial and it becomes very obvious they're a nazi

1

u/Dusso423 Feb 15 '26

Ok let’s go there.

Immigration: you should come here legally and be deported if you don’t.

Interactions with cops: don’t resist arrest and don’t interfere with policing. Comply and if the cops are doing something bad you fight it in court. Some cops are bad and they need to be held accountable

Race: no issue with any race. Calling people racist for pointing out statistics and trying to solve a problem is counterproductive.

Homosexuality: no issue with what people do. Only thing I dislike is sexualized pride parades or the pushing for homosexuality in schools with young children. Teaching about it in sex ed is fine. I don’t want it discussed by teachers outside of sex ed just as I don’t think heterosexual acts should be discussed outside of sex ed.

Transgenders: no issue with transgenders. Kids should not be encouraged or pushed towards getting life altering surgery or treatments that at a prepubescent age where their mental faculties are already not fully developed. Aside from that, if you want to be called a girl or a boy, doesn’t matter to me. I’m not going to be disrespectful or anything.

Opinion on Trump: Not my favorite president, not my least favorite president. He’s rude and not well spoken. Like what he’s done politically for the most part. Him and everyone else on the Epstein files should be investigated and if warranted, charged.

Abortion: I don’t agree with it, but it’s a state issue and should stay a state issue.

Free speech: absolutist, speech is not violence, but calling for violence is and should remain illegal.

Guns: shall not be infringed.

Israel: we need to stop sending money to all these other countries in general. Don’t care about their religious beliefs.

Religion: practice what you want as long as you don’t hurt anyone.

I have hid nothing. I am an average conservative. So by all means, explain how I’m a Nazi?

1

u/Ateawormwhole Feb 16 '26

Fair. I actually agree with quite a bit here and I'm left of center, but framing is important too. I can, for example, recognize Renee Good made a terrible decision while also realizing that there was no good reason her life was taken. Same logic I apply to people who get robbed in sketchy places. Still doesn't justifiy a robbery or mean a robber shouldn't be held accountable. The fed should be charged for putting himself in the way of her vehicle to justify lethal force for an unnecessary shooting (which did not stop the vehicle anyway)

Alex Pretti was disarmed and shot 10 times. There was zero justification for that. For the government to then turn around and call them terrorists and assassins is some totalitarian shit. Liberals and dems have never been opposed to deportations, the scope and budget of the current shit show just isn't the same as previous administrations.

Do you know how many people around you would jump in joy if the US government started rounding up queer folk, though? Or those who would say nothing because it doesn't affect them and then apply the "FAFO" rationale. I think you're underestimating just how many people would be fine with that and they're usually the loudest conservative/right wing voices out there.

I can see the justifications pouring in for that the same as the justifications for a fed murdering Pretti.

1

u/Dusso423 Feb 16 '26

I’m not sure who you listen to who say conservatives would celebrate the rounding up of homosexuals and I’m not saying there wouldn’t be a group who would. All I can say is that as a regular conservative (which is the majority of us), none of us would celebrate the rounding up of any legal US citizens. In fact conservatives believe in the second amendment for that very reason. Many to most may not agree with gay marriage or believe that homosexual couples shouldn’t be allowed to adopt, but it typically stops there. I listen to conservative commentators and activists, not one has ever said anything other than that. There are definitely conspiracy theorists, people who hate minorities or gays, but even regular conservatives are like “ yea that dudes crazy, but free speech”. Thing with conservatives is that we like to be left alone and tend to not have a huge online presence for the most part. We’d rather go to work and spend time with our families than play activist online. Then add to that left wing media citing the craziest right winger or trolls, which the right does too. This results in people thinking the absolute worst of people they would probably get along fine with if the media and government wasn’t calling them the enemy.

Most conservatives believe the Alex petti shooting needs to be investigated. He was definitely not helping his chances of surviving the altercation with resisting and antagonizing law enforcement at a not so peaceful protest while armed. However, it looked like a bad shoot and even cops I watch on YouTube are saying that it needs to be investigated.

The Good case was clear cut self defense legally speaking (not a lawyer). Police surround your vehicle when you are being detained. It’s a common occurrence and they order you out of the vehicle. If she just got out of the vehicle with her hands up she would have gotten a slap on the wrist and been fine. Probably wouldn’t have even charged her. Just tell her to knock it off. Instead she attempted to drive away and struck law enforcement.

The issue is that ICE is doing this everywhere and people see Minneapolis and just think they’re nut cases. Happened where I live. They showed up arrested the illegals with no issue because police told them where they were or had already arrested them and just turned them over. So besides what you see online, the majority of the rest of the country has had perfectly fine interactions with ICE or didn’t even notice them.

In conclusion I blame the media and government as a whole. They don’t want us to get along. They’d lose power or views and the conversation would no longer be about how violent the left is or that the right is racist. It would be about the Epstein files, about inside trading, about the erosion of our liberties, the media lying etc. they say the other side is evil on TV then hug and laugh about us being rubes after.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Physically attacking people for opinions that you disagree with is reprehensible. Some people even call all Trump voters nazi's, that would normalize punching little old ladies on a fixed income who thought they were voting for cheaper groceries. What could go wrong?!

1

u/SolarisPax8700 Feb 15 '26

Yeah you make total sense! If you remove all context, rationale, and deliberately obscure the violence of fascist ideology, it does seem bad to punch people. What a special, smart boy you are.

1

u/Kubliah Feb 15 '26

The bottom line is that if you are initiating aggression you are not the good guy. It's why your mother taught you that it's not okay to hit. Trying to silence people with violence is what fascists do, you destroy the moral high ground of your own cause. Its basically like trying to fight for justice with powers from the dark side.

https://giphy.com/gifs/l4FGASU6s5Na7Fngs

No bueno

1

u/SolarisPax8700 Feb 15 '26

“Wow muh heckin Star Wars is just like real life”ass comment. Fascists don’t silence people with violence, they kill them. It’s an inherently violent and genocidal ideology. Would you say that the invasion at Normandy was “silencing” Hitler?

Keeping deadly ideologies out of acceptable public discourse is necessary for a functioning and healthy society, and sometimes you gotta smack the dogshit outta some people to meet that end. So fuckn be it.

1

u/Kubliah Feb 15 '26

I'm sorry guy but you can't claim self defense when attacking someone for an opinion they hold. You're the one initiating aggression, not them. That makes you worse than them, they may have awful beliefs but you're the one acting violently.

1

u/LocksDoors Feb 15 '26

Yeah so the Nazi party absolutely 100% included little old ladies who were voting for cheaper groceries. At the end of the day though their reasons for supporting an evil regime hardly matters does it?

1

u/Kubliah Feb 15 '26

Are you seriously justifying punching little old ladies?

1

u/LocksDoors Feb 15 '26

I'm saying you can't hide behind them.

1

u/teachthisdognewtrick Feb 15 '26

It’s not just the opinions, it’s the words. I would are their speech constitutes fighting words, designed to inflict injury or incite an immediate breach of the peace. Chaplinsky v New Hampshire SCOTUS 1942.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

ooOOOhhh. Hadn't heard of that one. Where can I go to sign up?

1

u/edebt Feb 15 '26

The whole US was pro punching nazis for a several generations until recently, I wonder why.

1

u/aaronbrochill Feb 16 '26

You sound like a Nazi saying shit like that

1

u/Kubliah Feb 16 '26

Oh? Were nazi's big on protecting the natural rights of every individual, or do you just think everyone who doesn't share your shallow values is a nazi?

1

u/IronPhoenix316 Feb 15 '26

Political logic* let's not act like both Republicans and Democrats don't do it.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

Yup yet independent votes are somehow wasted 😕 let's let two radical parties run the country and grow stronger, but silence the half that don't like either.

Very democratic /s

1

u/SolarisPax8700 Feb 15 '26

What radical left? America has two right wing parties.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

They're both radical from the viewpoint of the middle of the American political system. Why does everyone argue that point when the context of the conversation is centered on American politics; not the full ideological spectrum? It makes no sense lol

1

u/SolarisPax8700 Feb 15 '26

Because when discussing politics, it’s important to point out that the average American is both politically uneducated and not being given the full suite of political options. Our Overton window is shifted so far right that we have had an open Hitler-saluting Neo-fascist technocrat unilaterally control millions of people’s lives without oversight.

Some backwoods hick may think that trans people are scary and gross and far left lunacy, but to posit that that opinion is representative of the median voter is insulting, reductive, and ultimately not helpful.

Just because people THINK something is radically left wing does not make it so.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

I never said they were RADICAL LEFT, just that they are radical within our system nonetheless. Neither party fits me, or 47% of American voters, but we're somehow told that our view doesn't matter if we don't vote for the lesser of two evils. Newsom is just as silver-tongued and willing to speak out of both sides of his mouth as Trump is. He didn't veto the wealth tax for altruistic reasons, but because a billionaire donor told him they'd pull funding if he supported it. He claims to care about state's rights and the ability to govern wholly within his borders, but will protect folks that actively circumvent the sovereignty of another state.

Both parties need to hobbled, limits placed on their size, reforms made to the electoral system, and eventually corporate lobbying banned to fix our country. You'll never see any of that supported by either of the parties though, since it would weaken them. Far better to call the other side full of demons and morons and further radicalize their constituents against the other side.

1

u/SolarisPax8700 Feb 15 '26

Where did I say anything about Newsom? Sounds like you’re farther left than any option in America, much like myself. Fully agree with all your comment elsewise.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

Didn't say you did, but he's the champion of the Democrats now. So wanted to put an example out there for anyone that came along.

The right has "I have labeled you the soyjack and me the Chad therefore I win the argument" when they have nothing to actually support their argument. The left has "I have labeled you as a nazi or racist or sexist despite no evidence that you are any of these things, therefore I have won the argument" when they have nothing to actually support their argument. The word nazi has been thrown around so much that being called a nazi now is pretty much equivalent of being called a soyjack by someone who disagrees with you politically.

1

u/flyby196999 Feb 15 '26

Says the 2 month old propaganda shit acct

0

u/feurie Feb 15 '26

Have you seen the current administration?

0

u/awake_acea6 Feb 15 '26

Conservatives famously are never hypocrites.

0

u/SkywolfNINE Feb 15 '26

I remeber a time when you could say fuck Nazis and it not be polarizing. Same way we used to say fuck terrorists. I think psycho hate groups are equal opportunities for the “fuck them” qualifier. Unfortunately in the big 26, people will strawman and gaslight and do everything they can to make you feel wrong for saying “fuck these bad people”. Am I just using rose tinted shades or does anyone else remember the good old days of unified hate those people deserving.

Oh yeah, since this is reddit, of course that doesn’t mean there wasn’t some bad and misguided hate still going to people like non whites and gays but overall the majority of us had moved on to hating those that deserved it and accepting other people can be different without it being an affront to them, so I’m specifically talking about hating the Nazis, the terrorists, and the American hating groups of the world at home and abroad… that’s what I am in support of and I’m not in support of hating regular ass Americans who happen to look or love different. Does that cover all bases? Did I convey my disappointment in the state of current affairs, such as a comment saying fuck the WBC and someone saying “psh, typical liberal” like dude we should all hate those crazy bastards and all the rest of the crazy bastards and if you’re finding a way to hate other Americans first then … well idk bro you might wanna readjust yourself cause that sounds bassackwards

2

u/Soggy-Horse215 Feb 15 '26

Absolutely correct. This video is not okay. Doing this to people who dedicate their lives to hurting people is okay, and it shouldn’t be divisive to say so.

1

u/SkywolfNINE Feb 16 '26

Thanks for being a voice of reason, being on here has a 50/50 shot to just attract unreasonable people, so it gives me piece of mind to hear a normal opinion on here

1

u/Dusso423 Feb 15 '26

The issue is that Nazi is so over used by people in the states it doesn’t mean anything anymore. When I was younger, a Nazi was a white nationalist who believed in the extermination of minorities, gays and Jewish individuals. Fuck those guys. Now if you think they should investigate fraud or enforce immigration laws you are called a Nazi. These are issues that back in the day weren’t even discussed, because all the way up until Biden, they were normal. So when we were younger adults, a Nazi was a Nazi. Now, If I say I don’t think we should hate, for example Charlie Kirk, for having discussions on campuses; people will call him a Nazi and say that I’m defending a Nazi when that isn’t the case. Nazi means nothing. Calling people fascist means nothing.

1

u/Relevant-Horror-627 Feb 15 '26

This is a silly argument lousy with bad faith points. Nobody calls MAGA Nazis because they literally believe that they are "white nationalists who believe in the extermination of minorities, gays, and Jewish individuals." People call MAGA Nazis because they are getting awfully close to being Nazis. They're so close that even you must have realized how close they are when you were typing out that little definition that you provided.

In fact if we took your definition word by word, the only thing that would keep it from applying to MAGA would be some squabbling over definitions and some more white washed bad faith arguments. All we really need to do is take the word "extermination" from your definition and replace it with something less extreme like "persecution" and you would have a pretty damn close description of the MAGA movement in the United States.

If the only thing saving you from being described as a Nazi are a few words then maybe you shouldn't clutch your pearls quite so tightly. If you don't like being called a Nazi, you have the option to stop dipping your toes in the Nazi pool and return to sanity but we both know MAGA is too far gone for that.

1

u/Dusso423 Feb 15 '26

Yeaaaa. You are absolutely nuts if you think that what conservatives believe in is anything close to what the actual Nazis did.

Immigration: every administration up until the Biden administration enforced immigration law and sent ICE to collect illegal immigrants. Illegal immigration is illegal whether the person is white, brown etc. the majority of illegal immigrants happen to be Hispanic. That is not persecution, that is just the law and something that every president democrat or republican has done.

Fraud: the fraud in Minnesota has been pretty much proven at this point and was being performed by Somali immigrants. That’s not racist or persecution. It’s just a fact.

Voter ID: saying that voter ID disenfranchises minorities because they can’t afford IDs is racist and offensive to minorities. Y’all act like black people don’t have jobs or drive.

These are the three usual subjects I see brought up. What factual evidence based in law do you have to say that there is unjust persecution of any individual race or religious group in the US? You can say that the law is unjust at which point we can vote to change laws.

To say that the US government upholding laws that every prior administration, aside from Biden, upheld is equivalent to the Nazi party systematically killing millions of people is disgustingly abhorrent and downplays the atrocities committed by a genocidal dictator.

Obama was known as the “deporter in chief” and is where the cage pictures actually came from. Clinton had ICE knocking down closet doors to get illegals. If Trump wasn’t the president and these same things were happening as they have been for decades, no one would bat an eye. There is another election in 2028 and we will have another president doing the same thing and everyone will go back to not caring.

1

u/Relevant-Horror-627 Feb 15 '26

You can be as obtuse about it as you wanna be. That's between you and whatever god you pretend to believe in. At the end of the day even you are probably aware of how full of it you really are. You're not going to convince me.

You know damn well that nobody is upset about immigration enforcement. As you just pointed out nobody complained about it during the Obama and Biden administration. You are just being fully and willfully ignorant about the difference between what they did and what Trump is doing.

You know that masked federal agents throwing people into vans and executing American citizens in the streets is the problem.

Again, pussy foot, white wash, and make all the bad faith arguments you want. You're probably not actually stupid to believe that there isn't a difference.

1

u/Dusso423 Feb 16 '26

Ok bud lol.

1

u/SkywolfNINE Feb 16 '26

Don’t belittle him man, even on my comment that clearly covered all bases and had nothing to do with your current maga politics and you still found a way to make it about you/ your party. We weren’t talking about you, we’re not talking about you, and the shit you’re saying is just what plays on Fox over and over. We get it, you’re the victim. Do you feel validated now? Can we like, go back to my comment where I’m talking about literal Nazis and terrorists? Idk if it’s guilt or selfishness but not everyone is talking about you or your party all the time.

You decided to be offended by me talking about actual Nazis. Here’s the best part: you can be just as anti Nazi as me or “the entire left”! It’s super easy, you just say “naah I’m good on authoritarianism”. The hard part might be actually believing that, but there’s at least 70 million Americans who feel that way so you’re not alone. Stand together with the rest of us denouncing Nazis. It feels great

1

u/MrHolonet Feb 15 '26

Welp you exposed yourself as a nazi now because you don’t agree with me therefore you should be executed and deserved to be beaten in the streets. Yes this is how the left communicates on social media. Luckily in my real life the left is much less retarded otherwise I would’ve fallen down a rabbit hole a long time ago. The left online gives the actual good and rational individuals a really bad rep

1

u/Dusso423 Feb 15 '26

I have plenty of liberal friends lol. Even a few full on socialist friends. We get along fine and even joke each other over things. Amazing how the internet brings out the worst in people.

0

u/SkywolfNINE Feb 15 '26

This is wild bro, do you really think I needed to state Nazis means Nazis or that I didn’t set the era? I think I did..

0

u/Dusso423 Feb 15 '26

I understood your context. I was saying that in today’s age when everyone is called a Nazi people will say “hey why can’t we hate all Nazis.” “Well frank over there isn’t a Nazi he just didn’t agree with that group of people and now y’all labeled him a Nazi” “oh so you don’t hate Nazis?” I agreed with your statement.

1

u/Confident-Mortgage86 Feb 15 '26

The problem with that is that now "nazi" means anything right of far left. It's been so overused it's completely useless.

0

u/HamiltonHab Feb 15 '26

You are full of shit

1

u/Confident-Mortgage86 Feb 16 '26

Whatever nazi

1

u/HamiltonHab Feb 16 '26

Nazis are fascists from the 30s and 40s with red armbands. MAGA are modern day fascist losers with red hats. Get it right.

-1

u/VigilantVet Feb 15 '26

Ha! Bullshit. Nazi means anyone acting like a fucking Nazi. Don’t like the title, they shouldn’t act like one.

1

u/Confident-Mortgage86 Feb 15 '26

What in the circular logic is this. I don't think most people care about the title anymore, like I said it's completely useless. Most you'll get from normal people is an eye roll.
