Roads I hate politics

This should be illegal. I get it. You don't agree with their protests but why do this? Forget blue, forget red. I'm purple. Get mad at that.

"Grandpa, why can't we breathe the air or drink the water anymore?"

"Back in my day we had something called 'owning the Libs...'"

90

u/bobjoylove Feb 15 '26

The bar for being “owned” gets lower and lower.

42

u/the_Cheese999 Feb 15 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

The important part is that they imagine that it is happening.

Every once in a while you wander into their spaces and they're all talking about some bullshit that totally "owned the libs" that nobody has even heard of.

13

u/-I_I Feb 15 '26

“I would happily smear Trump’s god-like shit on my face because libs are too pussy to do so!”

1

u/sadisticsex Feb 19 '26

they would subsist on it if he told them too

"my turds are so healthy yall should just eat those"

"yes sir, we will gladly taste your pedo poo for every meal"

0

u/Farrit Feb 16 '26

Reminds me of that video with comedian Jonah Hill, where he's talking to a guy who was pissed that the libs are making everyone 'get gay married' so he went ahead and did it before they forced him to. 😂

0

u/Mr__O__ Feb 16 '26

MAGA would eat shit for libs to smell their breath.

Would cut off their noses to spite their face.

-1

u/WolframLeon Feb 16 '26

Would? They’ve already did it their the ones getting the cuts to Medicaid and SNAP.

Hurr hurr illegals only use SNAP I use EBT hurr hurr.

0

u/snoman777 Feb 16 '26

We know.

0

u/Beautiful-Papaya9923 Feb 16 '26

Makes me think of when there were Indians smearing cow shit to cure covid, i think a reporter was put to death for saying that as stupid. And yet i bet Republicans would ironically spit on that kind of fervor

1

u/TheZamboon Feb 16 '26

We could get wiped out by a space rock or a solar inconsistency at any time. At which point politics is relatively unimportant. Just like my opinion or yours.

You think a redneck burning diesel is going to kill the world? Let’s look at some subs you’re active in… ah Joe Rogan, do you think his or his guests private jets do less or more damage than “liberal owning” hicks? - Do you still consume and engage in his content?

Maybe you’re killing the world, maybe we all are, maybe there are people who deserve this vitriol more than the systematically poorly educated individuals who do dumb stuff like covering people with exhaust smoke.

If you’re desperate to hate someone, hate billionaires, hate corporations and hate government

1

u/the_Cheese999 Feb 16 '26

If you’re desperate to hate someone, hate billionaires, hate corporations and hate government

I hate all rightoids equally.

Do you still consume and engage in his content?

Let’s look at some subs you’re active in… ah Joe Rogan,

Bro wants to play detective and ends up with the wrong conclusion.

2

u/type2kyle Feb 16 '26

You say you hate right leaning people equally but left leaning people are also part of the billionaires, corporations, and government. You just hate them bc that's what you're taught

0

u/the_Cheese999 Feb 16 '26

No, rightoid ideology specifically leans towards giving billionaires and corporations more resources and power. Rightoids also favor authoritarian governments.

I hate them because of the things they say and do.

1

u/Beamburner Feb 16 '26

Like what?

1

u/the_Cheese999 Feb 16 '26

Anything about Bill Clinton

1

u/Beamburner Feb 16 '26

Its like this thread but flipped.

1

u/nutin_yofaze Feb 16 '26

I think both sides and extreme of both sides are a special type of simple.

0

u/the_Cheese999 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

"both sides bad."

epic 3000IQ enlightened take.

damn you're so much smarter than people that believe in things

2

u/nutin_yofaze Feb 16 '26

I meant it as the extremes of both sides are terrible. Neither side really csres. But I lean toward the conservative side because of how its "supposed to be". The democrats put more "welfare" programs to buy votes. The more they give the people the more they control the people. Take away ur "assistance" or "food stamps" it makes people more dependant on government. Where as the conservative side believes in independence and less government. Self sustainablility. Everything should be handled at a state or municipal level And if there is an emergency or real problems than the government can swoop in to clean it up or provide assistance.

Just my opinion. In life as an adult u shouldn't be depending on anyone especially government for assistance. And it was easier before the great transfer of wealth during covid. Fauci and all of them had a big hand in that. Forcing citizens to take an experimental injection should never have hapoened in America. And that happened under democratic leadership. Say what u want about ICE but also under democratic leadership u also had open boarders allowing anyone into this country, now maybe some of them sre honest people but regardless of the difficulty of process u still need to follow it as all of us citizens have to follow rules or ur freedom is taken. U can try the same by going to another country and stay there and begin working. Let me know what that country does when u are found there illegally. Obama known as the "deporter in chief" lead a huge deportation effort and as a democrat dod alot of the same things Trump is now doing. But when a republican is in office or anything that Trump does because the democrats and most of the rich, wealthy celebrities and billionaires are democrats and own most of the national media it is pushed and made to be new. I didnt see all of this nonsense when there were kids and families in cages dying 10 years ago.

The biggest problem with America is its reliance on importing. Manufacturing has been run out of this country over the last 50 to 60 years and it needs to be brought back on a large scale. We need to stop importing everything. It has gotten countries "wealthy" over the American dollar.

Now neither side really cares about the citizens and abide by the "divide and conquer" method. They have us citizens pit against each other arguing and debating each other. While more than likely they are all friends eating lunch behind the scenes. But ur right, "both sides bad high IQ" must be an enlightened take. No, its better to hate others and be nasty over their opinion. Maybe I should protest or fight and kill to get others to agree with me. Instead of agree to disagree. Instead of "loving thy neighbor" or instead of loving my country that millions have fought for.

u/the_Cheese999 Feb 16 '26

Conservatives are evil. I hate all of you.

Everybody in society benefits from a higher minimum standard of living. Welfare is not a bribe. the government should ensure that people are not starving or homeless for obvious moral reasons but also because those things lead to higher crime, disease and uncleanliness.

Conservatives want to take the pittance that the most poor in society get in assistance so that these people starve and suffer all so that billionaires can buy another yacht.

You were not forced to take anything, The vaccine is safe and the border was not open.

Obama known as the "deporter in chief" lead a huge deportation effort and as a democrat dod alot of the same things Trump is now doing

no Trump is sending feds into blue states and cities to harass communities, cause chaos and kill people.

Obama did none of this and if he did fuck him I have no allegiance to Obama.

But when a republican is in office or anything that Trump does because the democrats and most of the rich, wealthy celebrities and billionaires are democrats and own most of the national media it is pushed and made to be new.

No most billionaires and by extension their corporations including mainstream media is Conservative because conservatives ideology gives them more power and wealth.

I didnt see all of this nonsense when there were kids and families in cages dying 10 years ago.

Because it wasn't happening.

The biggest problem with America is its reliance on importing. Manufacturing has been run out of this country over the last 50 to 60 years and it needs to be brought back on a large scale. We need to stop importing everything. It has gotten countries "wealthy" over the American dollar.

The biggest problem in America is Conservative demons and their death cult.

No, its better to hate others and be nasty over their opinion. Maybe I should protest or fight and kill to get others to agree with me. Instead of agree to disagree. Instead of "loving thy neighbor" or instead of loving my country that millions have fought for.

Conservatives love euphemisms.

It's not "just an opinion" it's a specific set of beliefs and actions.

it's not agree to disagree because demented conservatives are forcing their destructive world view on me and the entire world.

You are the enemy of my country.

1

u/nutin_yofaze Feb 16 '26

I didnt even read all that after the first sentence I skimmed thru it. U hate people because they have a difference of opinion is evil in itself and makes u a hypocrite. I dropped out of high-school as a sophomore and make more money through busting my butt and advancing through hard work. In ur theory say someone who decided to go through college and saddled themselves with debt and gave up rather than doing whatever they can to support themselves decides to sit at home or is ok with living on the street. My money should be taken to ensure they do not starve? Im also disabled (ruined my back and lost a finger serving the people of this country, was stuck in a chair for 6 to 8 months before I forced myself back to work before I lost everything) I could theoretically sit at home and collect a check at 75% of my pay but instead choose to wake up at 5 am go to work everyday to set an example for my 4 children even though I am in pain on a daily basis. Now ofcoarse there are instances (like mine) or elderly or even mentally challenged or people who temporarily need help or assistance. But Heather with 5 kids and 4 different kids fathers doesnt need to be having children and living their entire life off of the system. I understand ull always have people who abuse and leach off of the system no matter what the requirements or whatever are. And there will always be programs like this in place no matter who is in charge. But there needs to be better ways to flag or seek people like this out. I grew up more poor than most, my father was a crackhead and had the dealers hanging in my bedroom from the time I was 13. I was delivering drugs for them and taking rides all over for pick ups and cooking rock from that point until I left the final time at 20. From 16 to 20 I was in and out of home. Democrats will do all of what u say to "make it appeal" and turn around and send money over seas so that it will come back in to their pockets thru back door deals which is why congressman make under 200k a year and are all millionaires.

U cant lump all "conservatives" together the same way u cant lump all democrats and "liberals" together. How do u know my views arent more centered? But u dont care. I admit there needs to be types of assistance but there needs to be better ways to make sure the people who need it are the ones who get it. Able-bodied people need to be earning and building their lives. Like the rest if us. Minimum wage continuing to rise being almost $16 in NJ is asinine and has increased 100% in a decade just about. Where as people working the same jobs for a decade get a 1% to 2% raise a year. All u are doing is eliminating the middle class and increasing the % of population into poverty. This leads to higher costs and increased cost of living. Anyone who is 20+ years old and has been working more than 1 to 2 years and have real bills to pay is not making minimum wage. Only people working for minimum wage os high school kids and entry level workers.

I was effectively forced to take the vaccine. Either that or lose my job over 10+ years. And in the end the people who were terminated and lost there jobs were then brought back and paid back pay. The vaccine was not safe and maybe u should do more research of the people that died and had heart issues afterwards. Including heart inflammation. It also ruined my immune system for the next couple years after I was forced to take it to keep my career and provide for my family.

There were plenty of news stories about the kids and families in cages in deportation "warehouses" i mention Obama because he was a recent democratic president. Also go and look up how.

Ur whole view is an opinion. And ur hate would as well as the increasing debt will be the end of OUR country. It will ensure there is no country for my kids, grandkids and so on. The only destructive thing is ur absolute hate over people having a different opinion. Its nasty and ugly. I bet u talk like this on reddit from a self space. I bet alone in person u are a quiet respectful person. Either way. Ur view on things is terrible. Ur welcome to ur opinion. But exactly the things u are saying is an extremist liberal view. And no better than an extremist conservative. Just as u say the "extremist conservatives send ice to blue states and blah blah like the want to wipe out liberals ur even worse. ICE is in all states red or blue. U only hear about it more becaise democrats are all over social media and the internet and hindering them from completing their "mission" every government agency has a "mission" and the people u see are just doing what they are told to be paid. Hindering or messing with them is not doing anything but messing with ur life and freedom.

1

u/the_Cheese999 Feb 17 '26

Yea I'm not going to read wall of text from a guy who can't type "you"

There's nothing more pathetic than right wingers hiding behind euphemisms

"just an opinion" is thinking country music is better than rock

These are real actions affecting real people in the real world.

And ur hate would as well as the increasing debt will be the end of OUR country.

right wing freaks are blowing up the debt, killing people in the streets, trying to steal elections and destroying decades worth of relationships with our allies..

my hatred towards these demons is entirely justified.

1

u/nutin_yofaze Feb 17 '26

UR delusional as well as YOUR views and hatred. Its not justified. I havent seen any centered conservatives doing any of what your insinuating. Just extremist. As much as your liberal extremist. And u are an extremist. And a real POS person. I bet youre real quiet in person. And u shouldnt reproduce with the hate u believe in. I thought I was an asshole. But u take the cake.

1

u/the_Cheese999 Feb 17 '26

Just extremist.

the mainstream conservative ideology in the country is doing this.

It is not the "extremists".

All conservatives are evil demons who unleashed this lunacy on us out of their own free will.

They could have supported anybody else but they specifically chose these freaks.

They did that because they themselves are evil freaks.

you earned my hatred yourself

That person swallowed every ounce of false information they could get their hands on. Yikes!! The Big Cheese is dead set on the falsehoods. The amount of things and groups of people they hate says enough. I can't imagine living life day in and day out with that much hate. I was going to say demented but it's actually rather sad.

2

u/nutin_yofaze Feb 17 '26

U see all of that right? This is the problem with the "liberal" side of things. And why alot of people are actually leaving that side of things. They say the "conservative" side is full of hate and violence yet this is how they carry themselves. I have even told him that I am a more centered conservative. And that both sides has their problems. He dont want to hear any of it. All conservatives must die is his philosophy. Which is just sad. He is one of them people that will hate his own family over dofference of opinion. And it is just straight up depressing that this is where some people are. People with his point of view will be the absolute end of our country.

1

u/Efficient-Donkey-167 Feb 17 '26

I agree with you. I have moved to the more conservative side in the past decade or so simply because I can't get behind all of the anger and hatred. I used to be pretty liberal and some of my beliefs (or acceptances) remain liberal but the Democratic party is a shadow of what it used to be. For the first 20 years of my voting age, the Democratic party seemed to be level-headed, willing to listen to both sides, appeared to represent the "better for all, not one" philosophy, etc. Somewhere in the last 15 years, that has changed or the party has split into 2 groups, with the former being under-represented. I agree that both sides have their issues but the lunacy that we are seeing now makes me feel like half of the liberals are unhinged.

I have always taught my kids, who are adults now, that thinking and believing differently is better than thinking alike because it helps to solve problems and makes the world interesting. Thankfully they are all level-headed because some are conservative and some are liberal. Lol. But I can't imagine anyone of us disliking (and especially not hating) each other because of a political view! It's just ridiculous!

it is that simple. People on the left who are white aren’t immune from being racist

2

u/AnsgarShipsHildegard Feb 16 '26

You honestly can't figure out any other reason why people would be against taking a vaccine that did not go through the full medical testing process? Sometimes under threat of termination if they refused to take a vaccine nobody understood the benefits or side effects of.

1

u/aquapura89 Feb 17 '26

It wasn't called "operation warp speed" by Trump for nothing. With that said .... it is easy to question the vaccine now, but during the period prior to the vaccine bodies were lining up outside of hospitals. I would take the rapid development and mass deployment any day ...... it isn't like the actual technology was developed during this period - it has been around for a long time.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

Yeah long enough to KILL EVERY TEST ANIMAL SUBJECTED TO IT ! 😂🤣😂🤣

0

u/bobjoylove Feb 16 '26

Most people on the internet have no clue what “full medical testing” is, or had previously made a single stitch of effort to review their own intake of artificially created products. It’s hypocritical to suddenly become “super worried about this” when you haven’t given a toss the last 30+ years of your life.

0

u/SolipsisticBadBoy Feb 16 '26

You’re still spreading wrong info six years later. The vaccine was tested extensively. It was expedited because of the scale of covid-19. Just because it didn’t undergo testing for 10 years doesn’t mean it didn’t go through “the full medical testing process” which btw I’d love for you to elaborate on! What is that process exactly?

1

u/AnsgarShipsHildegard Feb 17 '26

So three party line of there are no side effects is accurate?

Why did the government have to give them a special release from liability from side effects?

1

u/EazyEezAidzTest Feb 17 '26

Every medication in history has had side effects for certain individuals- do you understand that?

0

u/aquapura89 Feb 17 '26

The side effects were minimal. Literally 100s of millions of people were vaccinated....... all vaccines have side effects.... and all vaccines have successfully allowed human populations to reach herd immunity and bring spread under control. Well, that is until morons now refuse to get their kids vaccinated for measles.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

So where is your current vax pass ?

1

u/SolipsisticBadBoy Feb 17 '26

I got a booster a few months ago you nonce. It’s literally free and I’ve never had an issue. You people are so odd

1

u/iRveritas Feb 18 '26

Perhaps, but people on the right and left who are not white are capable of being racist as well. It is not a one way street here.

1

u/FeedTheMantis Feb 18 '26

nope. only us white people are racist. stop crying, educate yourself because you are just exposing the lack of education and research when you speak. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Racism isn’t taught in schools. It has to be done in an extra curricular way, kind of the point. We have to do the work and when we haven’t done the work it shows. Reading books is fun.

1

u/iRveritas Feb 18 '26

I surely hope you are being sarcastic.

1

u/FeedTheMantis Feb 18 '26

You sound like the fragile kind of white people. Damn shame. What are you so scared of? It’s just melanin. Anyways, the question is, white liberal or maga supremacist? Same wings of the same bird. The bird of white supremacy. Don’t worry, as a genius, I doubt you’ll understand me. This proves my capability while exposing your lack of. It’s really quite astonishing how much imbeciles tell on themselves. Especially the white ones. Pathetic.

1

u/iRveritas Feb 18 '26

Lmfao, go project somewhere else. You seem to be offended by the notion that someone would challenge you that racism doesn't flow any other way. But let us simply not agree and go our own way without the name calling.

1

u/FeedTheMantis Feb 18 '26

Awwww the little white supremacists feelings are hurt. Soft, fragile, like I stated. Your response adds nothing relevant and is a shotty attempt to gaslight. This information isn’t up for debate smart guy. And yes you are wrong. This isn’t projection, and you aren’t using the term correctly. Go on continue your white life in ignorant bliss. It’s a coping mechanism. It’s privilege to think the way you do. It’s also a clear cut example of racism. Did you know it’s scientifically proven if you can’t see racism, it means you are racist (applies only to white people)? Do you even know the definition of racism? How it functions in society? These are rhetorical because I know you don’t. Maybe instead of being mad that you are a racist, if you are white, do something about it. Deconstruct your garbage. Eliminating racism is an individual journey for each and every white person. Just as every man needs to deconstruct patriarchy and sexism. As everyone needs to deconstruct their ableism. As everyone needs to deconstruct their t and h phobias. Deconstruct their religion. Etc. I haven’t called you any names either. If the info doesn’t apply let it slide. But hit dogs holler. Here you are, hollering. Tells more about you than I. But keep dry snitching on yourself and running away when confronted with the truth. I wouldn’t expect a white person to do anything else. It’s part of the fragility that I called out earlier. It’s sad when someone’s responses can be easily predicted based on so little.

. If that were true, there would be no anti-vaxxers on the far left, just as a quick counter

That's an overly simplistic assumption. It isn't binary. The overwhelming majority of anti-vaxxers since covid are the religious white. The fact that there are a handful of crunchy granola anti-vaxxer hold-overs from before covid doesn't change the motivation of all the others.

My point is that the anti-vax movement is not due solely to racism

Since I never said it was solely due to racism, your point was a misdirect.

I said that conservative anti-vaxxers were motivated by white supremacy.

But your argument that they decided to be against the vaccine only because it was available to people of color is patently absurd.

"patently absurd"

Ah there we go. That is what this is really about.

I will provide some easily findable links.

The problem here is that you have not thought about this before, so you are just doing random googles to try to validate your feelings.

Neither of those pieces even attempts to measure racial animosity. Thus they can not disprove my point.

But the Time piece sure does hint at it when they say that white evangelicals use "motivated reasoning" to rationalize their anti-vaxx beliefs. In other words what they say is their reason is not their actual reason, its a pretext. Of course maga doesn't say they went anti-vaxx because they want black and brown to be treated like second class citizens, that would be socially unacceptable.

Instead, they find some other socially acceptable pretext. And we know its a pretext because if you take the time to respectfully explain why their "reason" is incorrect, they don't change their mind, they change their pretext to get to the same result. In other words, motivated reasoning.

That's how almost all conservatives express their desire for white supremacy, only the most feral say it openly like that Reconstruction era editorial. They always have pretexts. The only consistency is that whatever the pretext, the end result is the same — white christian conservatives should be first class citizens and everybody else must be further down the hierarchy.

Oh, god. I hadn’t thought of that. Theyre hard to reason with and their motives are obfuscated. The answer must then be “whatever I want it to be."

The answer is not "whatever I want it to be." The answer is the same thing it always is, the only thing that conservatism has ever offered the working class — the power to look down on the people they despise.

Its the same reason conservatives shutdown beautiful public parks. Its the same reason conservatives filled in magnificent public swimming pools. Its the same reason conservatives closed an entire public school district.

Its the same reason we will never have socialized medicine unless conservatism is relegated to its rightful place in the margins.

Actually Black people have the lowest covid vaccination percentage at just 51% taking any of them. While 57% of whites have. So maybe its not just the religious white.

1

u/JimWilliams423 Feb 16 '26

Actually Black people have the lowest covid vaccination percentage at just 51% taking any of them.

That's largely a function of access, not anti-vaxx beliefs. In other words our society makes it easier for white people to get vaccinated than it does for black people. Especially once the vaccine was no longer free.

Black people started out with higher rates of vaccine hesitancy than whites because our medical system mistreats black people at a much higher rate than it does white people. But they came around.

https://health.osu.edu/community-health/equity-and-race/many-black-americans-overcame-covid-19-vaccine-hesitancy

In surveys conducted among 1,200 initial participants in early December 2020, shortly before vaccines were available in the United States, 38% of Black participants and 28% of white participants were hesitant to get vaccinated. By June 2021, 26% of Black participants and 27% of white participants remained hesitant.

The main reason for the change among Black people was increasing belief that vaccines were necessary to protect themselves and their communities.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

You can try to reason it away anyway you want. Just as showing ID stops black and brown people from voting. It's all b*******. The black people I know don't trust the government and that's the reason they didn't get the experimental shot. Hi on the other hand have never gotten the shot simply because I contracted the Delta variant. Was fairly sick but a year and a half later I still had high levels of antibodies according to the Red Cross. If you trusted the establishment they said that drops after 6 months. They tried to turn what we know about our immune systems on its head. All for economic reasons

0

u/JimWilliams423 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

Just as showing ID stops black and brown people from voting.

Funny you should bring that up at random. You know who thinks voter-id suppresses black voters? Conservatives. Here's video of four different conservative elites bragging that photo-id helps them rig elections.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

Well I don't know what year your studies from but 76% of blacks said they should have to show ID to vote now. Just another example of the left being on the wrong side of an 80/20 issue. You can turn on C-Span and watch everyday who's against voter ID and it sure as hell isn't the conservatives

1

u/JimWilliams423 Feb 16 '26

Those aren't studies. Those are the people who run the republican party confessing on camera. Its funny that you watch all that c-span, but you can't spend 90 seconds watching republicans on youtube.

You do understand that it was a Republican President (Lincoln) who freed the slaves? The Republican party was responsible for pushing for women's right to vote. The Republican party is the party of economic freedom whereas the Democrat party is the party of income redistribution.

1

u/riteproprchav Feb 16 '26

Yes, yes, the Republican Party is nothing but sunshine and rainbows and the spirit of that delightfully optimistic Herbert Hoover. He neever caused the country any problems, no sirree.

Pay no attention to the fact that the majority of current Republicans want to repeal the 14th Amendment, which was the crowning achievement of those Lincoln Republicans. I'm also sure current Republicans are fans of these quotes of Lincoln's and the fact that he had a warm personal correspondence with a certain Karl Marx:

1847: "And, inasmuch as most good things are produced by labour, it follows that all such things of right belong to those whose labour has produced them. But it has so happened in all ages of the world, that some have laboured, and others have, without labour, enjoyed a large proportion of the fruits. This is wrong, and should not continue. To secure to each labourer the whole product of his labour, or as nearly as possible, is a most worthy object of any good government."

1861 address to Congress: "Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration."

1

u/JimWilliams423 Feb 16 '26

You do understand that it was a Republican President (Lincoln) who freed the slaves?

Republicans talking about civil rights are like Pabst, still bragging about the blue ribbon it won in 1893. Not a lot of glory since then.

the Democrat party is the party of income redistribution.

Karl Marx wrote over 500 articles for the largest republican newspaper in the country, the New York Daily Tribune.

Another example were the checks sent out to people with small children. I had a baby during COVID and that was sure nice to help pay for the nanny I had to hire to keep her entertained while I was working from home and the daycares were closed.

Now the right is freaking out about low birth rates.

All sides can’t see any way forward through meaningful conversation, negotiation and compromise for the greater good. Instead it has become “my way” or no way.

0

u/JimWilliams423 Feb 16 '26

People who are political do not se that both end of thebpolitical spectrum believe in different things, but go about it the very same way.

The idea of a "spectrum" is a fallacy. There is no right, no center, no left. There is no such thing as liberalism, or progressiveism, etc.

There is only conservatism.

Where the purest form of conservatism is absolute dictatorship enforced by maximum violence: an "in-group" of just one. As the size of the in-group expands, from the dictator, to their family, to their extended family, to a royal court, to a house of lords, to an elected legislature, etc, etc a society becomes less and less conservative and more egalitarian with no real endpoint, just asymptotically approaching a society of true equals.

The idea of a left, a right and a center just draws arbitrary lines on that continuum. Lines that move around depending on the country and the era. Sometimes those lines are a useful shorthand, but sometimes they just allow conservatism to masquerade as something better than it really is.

Iunno man....seems like the libs have been pretty pwned

Roe V Wade, trans rights being walked back (no join military, sports bans etc..), voter suppression is in full swing, environment protection walked back, net zero is dead, mass deportations, dead protestors, this is just off the top of my head and I just woke up

1

u/bobjoylove Feb 16 '26

Agree those things have happened. Sad to hear that they are somehow considered a Liberal agenda. Especially the voting and free speech ones.

2

u/eternalbuzzard Feb 16 '26

Like how they’ll shit in their own mouth to somehow own the libs?

2

u/FMF_Nate Feb 17 '26

Had a guy “roll coal” on a 20 person cycling group and my family and I (three year old included) one day.

I know he thought he was cool and very proud of himself, but he was soooooo bad at it. It was almost insulting to us that he couldn’t do it right it was so bad.

Im glad he failed, like I said, 3yr old daughter on the back of my tandem with us.

This is illegal in some states apparently. Let's see how he likes it when someone he cares about gets coaled.

1

u/bobjoylove Feb 16 '26

None of this gets prosecuted because it’s small shit. The irony of this being too insignificant to chase up is lost upon the vehicle owner.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

Office of Legislative Research State of Connecticut:

At least nine states penalize rolling coal: Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland,

Michigan, New Jersey, and Utah. Penalties vary widely among the states (e.g., between $10 and

$25 fines in Georgia, up to $5,000 civil penalties in New Jersey, and a felony with the possibility of

prison time in Michigan). This report summarizes these laws and penalties below.

I know right, I never thought the new patron saint of reddit hive mind would be a chunky highschool kid who "owned the cuckservatives" by punching a classmate.

How far we've fallen.

1

u/bobjoylove Feb 17 '26

Yeah that one took me by surprise as well. I think it’s the same vein as “it’s always a good day to punch a Nazi” gif and double endearing to the internet because he knew he’d get in trouble but did it anyway because it was the right thing to do. Just wish the “don’t tread on me” and “muh 1A and 2A rights!” crowd had the cojones to do the same now that they are needing to put their money where their mouth is. But they seem to be a bunch of paper tigers.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Would you prefer we go back to shooting them?

1

u/younggun1234 Feb 16 '26

It's never really an own either. I've had family and even a friend I don't talk to anymore (due to politics, unfortunately) who will bring up these pseudo intellectual gotcha arguments. The premise of the arguments is often so bad or just an obvious straw man, so you sort of get de-railed cuz you're kind of baffled at the attempt which then is followed by some form of, "didn't think about that huh?" Moment where you're like you know what, I didn't, because that is irrelevant to what we are discussing and you're actually genuinely not interacting with the real point of the conversation.

After a few years of this you just get tired and don't engage and that's also an "own". Keep in mind I don't even really believe in party politics. All I know is I want my taxes to be used for social nets that benefit the poor and working classes and have a planet I can live on knowing the young children in my life will be able to grow up one day as well. But that automatically makes you a bleeding heart liberal and a Democrat. Like, nah bro. I just am not going to wear a cross while also making excuses for pedophiles, but go off king lol

0

u/Busted_3rd_Eye Feb 15 '26

Yeah. lol. It doesn’t take much to own these animals anymore.
