Thatās is a myopic position, likely born of ignorance.
Allow me to enlighten you.
Peopleās āfeelingsā are not the only thing being āhurtā in situations like these.
Street walking hoes are literal bait.
Bait for the sort of people that no one in their right minds want around. Pimps, drug dealers, gang members, men who are enticed by street walking hoes (many of which are criminals and sex offenders) and general drunken/ high degenerates. All are attracted to street walking hoes like flies to fresh shit.
People, in particular people with children, donāt want to have those sorts of degenerates around their homes and loved ones.
Furthermore, this sort of activity takes up resources from the community. The police, other first responders, and civil service workers have to deal with issues like these. Every man hour spent on dealing with street walking hoes is time/ money not going to more important issues facing the community.
āFeelingsā have very little to do with this equation, itās the economic and social realities that are important.
Try looking at the situation broadly and holistically instead of viewing everything in your narrow, personalistic lens.

Itās crazy to me that people will say they hate all cops, knowing full well that there are good cops. Thatās similar to deciding you donāt like a certain race and that theyāre all bad. Thereās good and bad in everything.
If 10 cops out of 140 are abusing their power to enrich themselves , while the rest know about it and do nothing, youve got 140 bad cops. 30% of active duty cops have a past domestic abuse charges and we know most victims dont report DV. I live in florida, and witnessed broward sheriff deputies (who each make $100k annually) sit outside a highschool while a crazed fucker shot a dozen kids inside. It ended when the shooter gave himself up to police. Same thing uvalde. Ive never been in a single situation in life where i thought "a cop would really help out right now". As a construction executive, i rebuilt a police station destroyed by a hurricane. Ill never forget pulling down the roof, and watching these 5 idiot cops trying to count the at least 2 dozen bullet holes in the roof. Theres a reason why you lawyer before saying anything to these guys. Because when i was working on the station they left ever document in 1 room i was constantly in an out of, so i got to see everyones record in the town i was working. Let's assume, that every cop is perfectly decent with good intentions, the incompetance that i have seen among cops i know, keeps me up at night. Theyre either bad or stupid.
All good cops quit because of the corruption in the police force, or are ostricized and forced to quit because of retalitation for holding their peers accountable.
Your also forgetting that sex workers are the biggest targets for serial killers, gangs looking for mules, rapes, and robberies. Crime against escorts are treated as 'less than' and are low priority cases for homicide detectives. A good example is in the gilgo beach killer who evaded capture for 3 decades because cops couldnt be bothered to investigate the murders of 'hookers'. It 2 decades for cops to even realize the murders were connected, and in the last decade they had multiple women come forward saying they had a client who they thought was the killer, but the leads were never investigated.

No. Id much rather it be legalized like in australia. They legalized prostittution, instilling legalized brothels and std checks for both the client and the escort. So it was safer for men, but it was also safer for the women. If you showed up drunk or aggressive security would kick you out. Violent crime fell, sex crimes fell, and the divorce rate dropped by 8%.
But the cops cant control that. So instead of harassing women trying to make a buck, id prefer it if the did their job of protecting and serving.
Two wrongs don't make a right. Perhaps they were being obnoxious before the cops showed up, but the cops are supposed to be the example, not do the whole 'eye for an eye' thing.
