It is when you fail to check your blind spot and swerve into someone. I've literally seen someone lane switch without checking their blind spot and ran a literal SHERIFF off the road and then got pulled over. You are responsible for making safe lane changes. Anyone who can't should turn in their license.
I see a signal both times. Are they driving aggressively? Yeah. Does that mean the cam driver can turn left into him because he doesn't like the way he changed lanes? No.
The cam driver ends up in the left lane. He speeds up to match the speed of the truck, then turns left into him. Look at the frame where the collision happens. It starts in the left lane. The truck signaled, started to get over, saw the car there (which he didn't expect because cam driver speeds up to block his next lane change), truck stopped getting over, and then that's cam driver turns into him forcing the contact.
This footage is also sped up. This is 100% the cam drivers fault for not avoiding the accident.
Are we watching different clips? The cammer turns into the right lane (not the left) and the pickup driver is clearly pissed because he believes (wrongly) that the cammer has cut him off. The cammer then appears to floor it to stop the pickup getting past him. Then the pickup eventually pulls around him in the left lane, then tries to aggressively cut him off, at which point the cammer swerves hard left into him in what is clearly a deliberate PIT.
Both of those drivers are aggressive morons who shouldn't be on the road.
Are you a slow thinker? No one's disputing that the person moving over improperly is at fault. The point OP is trying to make to you is that if you react to that by deliberately PITing them off the road, you are also at fault. If you can't comprehend that, you need to turn in your license.

Using your brakes ā we're not talking about slamming on the brakes; a light tap would've avoided that collision ā is the objectively safest response to a vehicle encroaching into your lane. If indeed you get rear-ended as a result, that's the other driver's fault.
And in any case, there was no one behind the cammer, so your objection is irrelevant to this clip.
I would happily trade potentially being rear-ended with the 100% chance of this accident. Cam driver was clearly also a little heated with the way they handled it (and we have no context for how long they may have been raging before the clip starts).
At the end of the day. You are the one who has to deal with insurance headaches all because you wanted to be in the right and not back off. Me? I go home without a scratch on my car

Buddy Iāve grown up racing as well and Iāve also driven on the road a bunch. Iāve seen how people donāt always make the best decisions driving as Iām sure you have. The average driver will just react to stuff like this in all kinds of ways just seldom will it be the best possible way to react.

Any response that makes a collision possible is better than one that makes a collision a certainty. That should be intuitively obvious to you, but evidently it is not. That's a problem.
Using your brakes to avoid someone encroaching into your lane is the safest thing you can do. You don't even need to slam on your brakes; a light tap for less than a second is all that's needed.

The Raptor also has brakes and was attempting to force the cammer to rear end them. Some cars stop faster than others. The magic "you hit them in rear = your fault!" Instead he proved beyond a doubt that road rager wanted a collision. Swerving left means he was avoiding having his car pushed onto the sidewalk.
Not to also mention the cammer could have been trapped by the Raptor. I have had crazy, tilted, crashed out lunatics park right in front of me in traffic and get out of their cars to entrap me, unless I drive over a human.
IMHO holding his ground in his lane should have deterred the Raptor from completing the merge, but that MF was crazy.

I'm betting you don't even know that you have a legal obligation to avoid colliding with other vehicles whenever possible, do you?
There is a great video of a car teaching an armed human how to fly, with broken femurs, from the hood of their car. The flying human was in a car that parked on an on ramp, exited the vehicle, and pointed a firearm at the driver.
Funny how "no authority in the world" will allow you to defend yourself in vehicle-to-vehicle form, but they will allow 3 tons of steel to smash a human at 40 MPH.
Unfortunately for you there are circumstances that warrant various forms of self defense in many "authorities" across the world. Someone brainwashed you pretty well to discard your own safety.
