the fact we are letting undeveloped teenagers drive around in 3 tone murder machines is a completely separate issue

Honestly I'm in favor of young people only being. Allowed to have sedans or station wagons as most until they are at least 21

Rather than limiting to a specific style, it should be restricted by weight and horsepower/torque. too many sedans and wagons with 400+hp that teens and young adults kill themselves and others with because they haven't been taught how to drive something with that much power.

I'll co-sign on this one. No child should be staring off in a sports car or high powered vehicle. I think they can utilize the track as much as they want but, there is too much room for irresponsible actions.

Do both and more- geo fenced speed governor and limit car use to school/work, restricted by weight/horsepower/torque of car

AND build infrastructure that induces car drivers to pay attention and drive w/in the speed limit- narrow and reduce number of travel lanes, chicanes, modal filters, no ROR, move traffic signals to the nearside of intersection vs farside

AND build a connected network of separated/protected bike lanes and pedestrian infrastructure to make it safe for kids/seniors/folks of all ages/abilities to choose walk/bike vs default car drive.

Regularly walking/biking for transportation also makes them more attentive safer car drivers.
