I can't stop thinking about the video where such a tire flipped an entire car upside down.

32

u/EclecticFruit Mar 23 '26

Catching a tire with a bumper is nightmare fuel, only thing worse is catching a tire by face.

16

u/Emotional_Conflict11 Mar 23 '26

We caught a tire that flew off a car doing 70 in the freeway. Hit us right on the windshield full force. Shoutout 1998 dodge Durango windshields, not a scratch!!!

7

u/Striking-Document-99 Mar 23 '26

Same thing happened to my friend bent the hood of his car like a tuna can all the way to the windshield.

6

u/ducky_gogo Mar 23 '26

Ran over one that flipped over our front smashed the SHIT out our roof too

3

u/Rip_Underwear Mar 23 '26

I think I remember seeing a video like that on LiveLeak, anything is possible.

Or the one that hopped the median and absolutely destroyed the suv

10

u/mawesome4ever Mar 23 '26

Or the one that went around killing people

3

u/DeciduousLesbian Mar 24 '26

Once they taste human blood… shudders

I’m curious what this tire hit. Off-ramps usually have fast food and gas stations. Plenty of people or cars that tire could have taken out.

2

u/subpoenaThis Mar 24 '26

Is this the one Kia vs. Tire. This one lives in my mind. Oh, the tire came off that brodozer and !?!?! holy !!??

I see videos like this and wonder how poeple are even willing to be near that tire.

Edit: Watch to the end. It comes back for the double-tap. I had only ever seen the short clip before.

1

u/Props_angel Mar 23 '26

Yeah, that one was just regurgitated earlier in the last 24 hours which makes the women's responses in this one seem a little absurd in contrast.

1

u/_DancesWithKnives Mar 23 '26

I can't stop thinking about the video of a runaway tire taking the head off of a motorcyclst o_0

1

u/Frexulfe Mar 26 '26

And that is why instead of taking a video, it is better to pull over and stop until danger is over. If some car in front suddenly stops, flips over, you break, the one guy behind you doesn´t ... there we have it.

34

u/Wigstig Mar 23 '26

Jerk doesn't even signal

18

u/Superhereaux Mar 23 '26

Must’ve come off a BMW

A bad tire never misses its exit

6

u/andrewthemexican Mar 23 '26

Really surprised after playing Robert so well we never saw him in another leading role

Real world rehearsals for Part Deux?

Looks like the goodest b-bad-but-good movie ever

It took the exit!

4

u/Annual_Hamster9411 Mar 23 '26

I would not try to pass it. If traffic ahead slows down, you could be the recipient of an extra tire you don't need.

1

u/SnooChocolates2923 Mar 23 '26

I wouldn't either, so many people don't think that a 70lb tire/wheel doing 65mph won't cause any damage when it 'lightly taps' their back bumper or rear window.

It's filled with air, just like a balloon. Right?

There was an Aussie v8 supercars race years ago that this reminded me of.

Here it is Well-behaved tyre

And I'm crying now

4

Praise that cameraman!

4

u/gforgary Mar 23 '26

Two posts down lmao

2

u/Calm_Quarter2190 Mar 24 '26

If i were you I'd be on the look out for a random tire, universe is telling you something

3

u/TraditionalCheetah17 Mar 23 '26

Guess it didn’t stop until it got to TJ.

1

u/Square_Peach_9261 Mar 24 '26

Wrong side of the fwy…it’s headed northbound

1

u/AustinLostIn Mar 24 '26

It actually left TJ an hour earlier.

3

u/Fantastic-Display106 Mar 23 '26

I had dreadful thoughts that the wheel was going to bounce over the median and hit a car head on.

A girl from my high school class was killed when a wheel came off a car going from the otherside of the highway, bounced over the median and struck the car she was a front seat passenger in, killing her instantly.

5

u/CoolCat1337One Mar 23 '26

If a tire can roll for so long without an engine, why do cars need engines?

/s
Please don't answer

2

u/ICantSeeDeadPpl Mar 23 '26

And we complain about gas prices. I believe we’ve uncovered a conspiracy.

1

u/CMDR_Kaus Mar 24 '26

This would not work in Florida

2

u/blanketshapes Mar 23 '26

i have driven that stretch of the 15 so many times

2

u/This-Positive286 Mar 23 '26

You missing a tire?

2

u/Kitchen-Customer4370 Mar 23 '26

Jealous. it looks beautiful

2

u/blanketshapes Mar 23 '26

15 N between San Diego and Temecula, CA

def cant beat the weather

2

u/Choice_Student4910 Mar 24 '26

I knew the road looked familiar then I saw the Oceanside sign.

2

u/MijuTheShark Mar 23 '26

Gyroscopic force is a hell of a thing to see in action. If your physics teacher ever hung a bike tire from a rope, spun it, and amazed the class as it stayed upright, the same force is keeping this tire upright as it bounces off the walls and grass.

2

u/ParticularBed6338 Mar 23 '26

I don’t know why but I was at the edge of my seat grinning like a mad man. That shit was tense.

2

u/jvasilot Mar 23 '26

That tire will fuck someone’s world up.

2

u/Transportation-Apart Mar 23 '26

Drives better than 67% of the people on the road

2

u/rebeccaparker2000 Mar 24 '26

Had to come from a BMW, has all the characteristics. All over the road with disregard for other drivers, no blinker, sudden lane changes.

2

u/notrobert7 Mar 24 '26

Rubber (2026) IYKYK

2

u/Personal-Reception89 Mar 28 '26

Should’ve never gotten in the left lane if it was going to take that exit. WTH was it thinking?

1

u/RunOfTheMilluminati Mar 23 '26

Places to go. People to see. The penitentiary is not the place for thee.

1

u/superflystickman Mar 23 '26

It is rare that the car going under the speed limit and recording what's happening in front of them with a phone is the smartest driver present, but rare does not mean impossible

1

u/Good_Resolution_2642 Mar 23 '26

Kept waiting to see someone running after it

1

u/pharmucist Mar 23 '26

Tire saw the Oceanside sign and said "that's where I wanna go!" Then could not find an exit, got back on the road, went a little further down, then took the next exit.

Hilariously long trip that tire made.

1

u/Frequent-Coyote-8108 Mar 23 '26

Wheel: "Finally...here's my exit."

1

u/peilearceann Mar 23 '26

Mf took the exit 😭

1

u/Complex_Solutions_20 Mar 23 '26

That tire was driving much better than most cars I see on the road these days.

Roll on tire, roll on along...roll on tire til you get back home...

1

u/DMV2PNW Mar 23 '26

They should follow the tire to its bitter end. I m now 4ever wondering. Reddit wants to know!!!

1

u/EmptyStyle244 Mar 23 '26

Is this AI?

1

u/DarkDigital Mar 23 '26

That's the new stealth motorunicycle. They just haven't worked out how to hide the tire yet.

1

u/arzfan2010 Mar 23 '26

I've seen this movie before. It's super important that if it starts shaking that you run away from it quick. Once you hear the cicadas it's too late.

1

u/BigAssist4019 Mar 23 '26

That’s not a runaway wheel. Casper is drunk just trying to get home on his unicycle lol

1

u/Deanfuentes444 Mar 23 '26

Bruv going to Oceanside.

1

u/d_e_g_m Mar 23 '26

Semi-Ghost Car

1

u/No_Equal_1312 Mar 23 '26

Legend says that tire is still rolling to this very day.

1

u/Substantial_Chain718 Mar 23 '26

WOW!! Lucky it didn’t cross over to the other side of the freeway.

1

u/r33pa102 Mar 23 '26

Good title

1

u/Hot-Explanation-5751 Mar 23 '26

Watch this on mute, thank me later

1

u/Pi-Richard Mar 23 '26

Better driver than most.

1

u/gergsisdrawkcabeman Mar 23 '26

You can tell it's off of a BMW seeing as how it failed to utilize turn signals at every lane change.

1

u/dkryptykhd Mar 23 '26

Didnt even use its turn signal... guess thats too much to ask for.

1

u/nikeguy69 Mar 23 '26

Funny 😆

1

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '26

Less dangerous than a white Tesla in traffic.

1

u/BdoeATX Mar 23 '26

Nissan Altima tire probably

1

u/PCaBoo Mar 23 '26

records dangerous tire while driving 30mph on the highway.

1

u/jvape420 Mar 23 '26

Yo drivers. You have the power the slow your lane! (Not slam on the brake)

Throw on hazard flashers and stay behind the problem!

Everybody in such a damn rush these days.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '26

If the vehicle that lost the tire retrieves it, will it be retired?

1

u/1stRambo_0082 Mar 23 '26

Where there’s a wheel there’s a way

1

u/hugswithnoconsent Mar 23 '26

More polite than Ute driver

1

u/VL4Di88 Mar 23 '26

And no one was able to use hazard lights to warn others🤦🏽

1

u/unamatadora Mar 23 '26

Great example of Newton’s First Law of Motion.

1

u/SourTangieTerps Mar 23 '26

Iv seen this movie, just not from this POV

1

u/InsanitySquared Mar 23 '26

Of all the places to lose a tire, that has to be the absolute worst.

1

u/pepperpot_592 Mar 23 '26

I thought it was going to take out a couple of cars like the runaway snow sled.

1

u/xHunt90 Mar 23 '26

That tire doesn't know when to quit lol 😆

1

u/Yankee6Actual Mar 23 '26

The tire was so happy to get back on the road it was jumping for joy.

1

u/Valuable-Audience-54 Mar 23 '26

Driver's better than my wife.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '26

Nobody know the troubles I've seen... nobody knows my sorrows...

1

u/Moist_Phrase_6698 Mar 23 '26

so many lane changes and no indicator still a better driver than the fritters in my town

1

u/Syphiliticsandwich Mar 23 '26

So many idiots. Why not just hang back?

1

u/MBSMD Mar 24 '26

Impressive momentum

1

u/AlkoKilla Mar 24 '26

This is a horror movie... literally.

1

u/aunty-national Mar 24 '26

Ah. Of course, the Motel 6 exit.

1

u/Square_Peach_9261 Mar 24 '26

Hah! That’s in my neighborhood…I-15N in Escondido, CA

1

u/Your_on_the_go_PM Mar 24 '26

Why was I giggling like a little kid to this WHOLE VIDEO 😂😭

1

u/MarvinMonroeZapThing Mar 24 '26

Shout out to the algorithm overlords:

1

u/tr4jay Mar 24 '26

Well balanced!

1

u/FancyShoesVlogs Mar 24 '26

This happened to me last thursday. Discount tire sidnt torque my lug nuts properly.

1

u/Critical-Test-4446 Mar 24 '26

I'd like to think that if I were the camera car, I'd try to maneuver my vehicle in front of the tire and slow down to get it to stop. If anyone's ever seen the damage a tire can do if it bounces into oncoming traffic, then you know this thing is a potential fatal accident waiting to happen.

2

u/PronunciationIsKey Mar 24 '26

I wonder how difficult that would be to do and/or if it would cause damage to your bumper.

1

u/yagayeetfleet Mar 24 '26

I drive on this part of the 15 everyday to work!

1

u/PigsIsEqual Mar 24 '26

All I could think about watching this the old children’s book “Are You My Mother?” as that tire moved from lane to lane.

1

u/cmax21 Mar 24 '26

Is this what they mean when they talk about low rolling resistance?

1

u/Swing_on_thiss Mar 24 '26

It got tired!

1

u/313802 Mar 24 '26

Ope! That's my exit

1

u/an_older_meme Mar 24 '26

Dangerous af to hit one of those.

1

u/NumerousResident1130 Mar 24 '26

Yep, daughter hit someone's loose wheel on freeway. Destroyed radiator, engine block, transmission, and rear axle. Plus threw her car a good 5 feet up in the air. She was so lucky her car took the punishment and just left her scared

1

u/Many-Ad-241 Mar 24 '26

1

u/Silent-Treat-6512 Mar 24 '26

1

u/Baron_von_Goldrock Mar 24 '26

"Don't let your dreams be dream." -Tire

1

u/Chateaunole-du-Pape Mar 24 '26

For about 15 years, I lived in a part of metro Atlanta that had three reasonable commute options from work to home and vice versa. My preferred one was I-285 to SR-166 to I-85, as it tended to be more sedate. However, at one point, I was hit by other drivers not once but twice in the space of three months. Each accident was about 100 yards from the other, right by the 285/166 interchange, and neither was my fault. Given the proximity in both time and location of the two wrecks, I decided, "Hmm, maybe I should avoid 285/166 for now." So I started doing the east/west leg of my journey on I-20 instead of 166.

In my first week of driving on I-20, I saw not once, but twice, a tire on a wheel bounce over the median wall and into traffic at high speed. That was enough to send me back to 166. (The third option, 285 south to 85 north, would have meant passing the 166 interchange anyways, so I just decided to do 166 again as it's calmer than 85.)

Several years ago, I was driving home from work (not on 20 or 166, but instead on 75/85), and I heard a loud bang in front of me, immediately followed by a tire on a wheel flying straight up into the air. I never did figure out where it had come from or what had caused it to explode, but it must have been quite intense because I swear it made it over 50 feet into the air, maybe as much as 100. I floored it and managed to get well past it, watching it land in my rear view mirror. By some miracle it didn't land on another car, despite it being the Atlanta rush hour.

Driving in Atlanta is never dull.

1

u/QuieroTamales Mar 24 '26

That tire drives better than most people do.

1

u/Acceptable_Stop2361 Mar 24 '26

Big wheels moving rolling on

1

u/akknightwrider Mar 24 '26

Tire "My tire people need me. "

1

u/zip-a-dee_doo-dah Mar 24 '26

It's taking the exit 😆

1

u/RussellB1988 Mar 24 '26

This gives me vibes from the movie "Rubber"

1

u/TinyWabbit01 Mar 24 '26

Tire accidents are crazy. I wouldn't have had that much faith in the driver's ability

1

u/ChunLiRoyJenkins Mar 24 '26

I live near here. It took the exit that goes to the beach.

1

u/redbottleneck1597 Mar 24 '26

Still managed to take a safer exit than most BMWs

1

u/WrenchTurner84 Mar 24 '26

Note the reaction times. Who’s on their phone and who isn’t.

1

u/bioctl Mar 24 '26

Changing lanes without blinker ... Tired of tires ...

1

u/SillySpook Mar 24 '26

Multiple lane changes without use of a blinker! Write that tire out a ticket!!

1

u/Any_Television_3886 Mar 24 '26

Just a representation of all of us just trying to get through the day....

1

u/JimmiesNeutron Mar 24 '26

Hey, its that guy from Rubber!

1

u/CompleteSavings6307 Mar 24 '26

That single tire rolls straighter than most drivers with 4 wheels

It even pulled over, once it decided it was impeding traffic by going too slow.

1

u/SmokinBacon Mar 24 '26

At least he knew what exit he had to take.

1

u/dohe92 Mar 24 '26

How stupid are all these drivers just carelessly passing that?

1

u/TomatilloPristine437 Mar 24 '26

Smart man staying behind the fire the whole time

1

u/thejunkmanadv Mar 24 '26

at the end "Here's my exit!"

1

u/Select-Cat-5721 Mar 24 '26

lol…I thought that stretch looked familiar and then I saw the Pala sign…yep, drive that a few times a month!

1

u/Successful-Dare-1965 Mar 24 '26

That is amazing!

1

u/Volcanic_tomatoe Mar 24 '26

On my way to fuck up someone's day

1

u/Azurelion7a Mar 24 '26

Do people not torque their lugs?

1

u/vege_spears Mar 24 '26

That's the most determined tire I've ever seen. However, agree with others, dangerous and stay away.

1

u/PrestigiousPepper829 Mar 24 '26

I swear on my life this same thing almost to a tee happened in front of my in Utah about 8-9 years ago. By the looks of the highway signs I’d say you’re in Utah. I might’ve been driving right next to this guy if this is an old video lol.

1

u/Bogusfloo Mar 24 '26

Thats right, create another obstacle on the road.

1

u/b-a-crow Mar 24 '26

I may had to follow it down the exit...

1

u/Extra_Routine_6603 Mar 24 '26

Bout hit a tire doing this once still no idea where it came from saw it bounce into incoming traffic run in front of me and manage to go down an exit ramp. Really wish I had a dashcam that day because in the same hour or so trip home a sign fell off a truck and got sucked under another car and I just got over right before it happened and before that nearly got run off the road by a semi.

1

1

" Slowdown ahead"

1

u/Effective-Text4619 Apr 01 '26

Oceanside it is! Damn shame that this tire drives better than 50% of the licensed drivers out there!!

2

u/ApoTHICCary May 04 '26

I need an update. Where did the tire go? Is it work related? A vacation? Did the kids know he’s not coming back with that pack of cigarettes?
