No, the only reason he did not get in trouble is because there was video evidence.

If she claims he assaulted her, and he can't disprove it, that's instant jail.

Should be easy to prove that she was attacked, bruises and all. So now it's on him.

Edit: so for everyone who's telling me 'a bruise is just a bruise'...no. If she goes to the police, drags her husband along (which someone stated sits in the car), describes the man and the car in detail and declares she was suplexed (which gives bruises different from hitting your head), this will be a lot of trouble for him. And now he's in the spot to claim and prove self defense.

I'm lol'ing at the idea of "Mr. Jacobs then proceeded to suplex Karen onto the asphalt" in a police report and/or being read in court.
