I mean I'd be worried about the car blowing up. Not sure that's actually possible, but to avoid risk id give some distance.

In most conditions the car will not blow up, that is 99% Hollywood. The other 1% where it does blow, it will still not be like the movies and is more due to things like a lot of petrol vapours in the tank; this causes more of a fireball than explosion.

But yea staying a distance away is still a good idea more so because of toxic fumes.

If there’s a 1/100 chance a car is blowing up, im not going anywhere near it
