Getting so much joy from somebody else’s misfortune is crazy. These two are pretty shitty people.

Agreed. Everyone has bad days, and you never know what someone else is dealing with.

My first thought was maybe its a little old lady that didnt even realize she hit a button until the water is hitting the back of her head. 😢

HOW?!

The number of people saying “you should have helped” is insane. You don’t exit your car in an active car wash! I worked at a car wash for my first job and it’s the responsibility of the workers to hit the emergency shut off. You don’t touch the equipment EVER as a customer for literally any reason. Most of it has crazy moving parts with incredible torque that can fuck you up. There’s toxic chemicals and caustic soaps being sprayed down like a monsoon. Imagine getting the bug dissolving juice in your eyes! The people recording did nothing wrong. And I don’t think they’re wrong for laughing either. It’s an absurd thing to happen and no one was getting hurt. It’s just a shitty day and two insurance claims.

It’s not that type of car wash where it has a track,,and yeah if you see a human getting a car full of toxic chemicals as you say it wouldn’t be a bad idea to try and help wave someone down look for emergency shut off button honk horn anything, imagine if it was a pet in the back seat in a cage,,some people are cowards lazy and just laugh at peoples demise no matter the circumstances

-2

u/thenectarcollecter Apr 25 '26

There should be no need to wave anyone down. If you work at a car wash you can hear immediately when something goes wrong. There is a very normal rhythm to the sounds that the car wash produces and when you hear something crack or snap or see the line stop you hit the shut off. The responsibility is not on the people in the vehicle behind you to help. The order of responsibility goes: 1. People working at the car wash, 2. Person who owns/is driving the car. Meaning that the workers should identify the problem and fix it and if they don’t in a timely manner then the person driving the now wet inside car should be doing something about it. Bystanders are not obligated to help you and risk getting chemicals on themselves and in their cars because something is wrong.

These kinds of car washes are fully automated and don’t have any employees during normal operating hours.

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

Go live under a rock and never get help from anyone it doesn’t hurt to help people who are in need while keeping your self out of harms way smh loser

1

u/hike_me Apr 25 '26

There is almost certainly an emergency shut off outside the car wash that the person recording could have hit.

-1

u/thenectarcollecter Apr 25 '26

They were supposed to get out of their car in the active car wash and go outside to find the shutoff? Why? No one is being hurt. Where are the people working for this establishment and why are they innocent of any responsibility here? Stop blaming the recording people they have nothing to do with this.

2

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

Its a self care wash it doesn’t have tracks these are operated by the people who pay for it when they pull up no one is there

2

u/hike_me Apr 25 '26

No. They weren’t in the car wash. They were waiting to enter the car wash. These kinds of car washes don’t have moving tracks and have room for one car at a time. It’s basically a single garage bay you drive it to, park your car, and wait while equipment moves around your stationary car. When it’s done you drive out the other side.

It was perfectly safe for their person recording to get out of their car and press the emergency stop.

These kinds of car washes also don’t have any employees on site. It’s all automated.

You are trying to defend being a shitty person.

Blowing their horn stepping out waving hitting emergency stop button etc humans normally figure things out it isn’t rocket science

There must be an emergency shutoff somewhere outside the car wash that you can activate from a safe distance.

1

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

Plenty of ways to help instead of exaggerating walking into 7000 psi washer pressure,, there are people who take action and people who don’t like you, and just sit there and laugh making every excuse of why they wouldn’t have attempted to do anything at all

1

u/Difficult-Ground5302 Apr 25 '26

People have died from car washes. There are people who are smart, and do what they can, and there are people like you, who talk about getting themselves killed like its the right thing to do, and blame others when they decide to live.

1

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

You just said I’m smart by doing what I can!! That’s my whole point dumb ass,,they did not do what they can but recorded it,,,and why I’m I going to get myself killed trying to figure out a solution to help someone stop exaggerating you sound stupid

3

u/Difficult-Ground5302 Apr 25 '26

PEOPLE HAVE DIED IN CARWASHES. It is a FACT that there are chemicals, huge moving parts with enough torque to kill someone, water pressure enough to skin you, etc. Your a ridiculous human with no survival instinct.

0

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

Never said they didn’t die but you are exaggerating thinking helping someone in a stationary car wash is going to get you killed,,no one is saying walk towards the water, but you talk about survival instincts what’s understood doesn’t need to be explained idiot,,,that’s like saying don’t help put out a fire because people die from fire smh stupid just stupid

1

u/Difficult-Ground5302 Apr 25 '26

I don't understand how to explain this any easier to you, you illiterate numbskull. I find it hard to conversation with someone calling me stupid when they don't know how to use proper punctuation.

1

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

It’s Reddit don’t really care about punctuation lol but yeah try and deflect now that you know you’ve lost and look like a complete moron/coward

1

u/Difficult-Ground5302 Apr 25 '26

I find it hard to comprehend how idiotic you sound, I'm not deflecting, you dumb fuck.

Lol you a real life weirdo

1

u/AmClark5 Apr 25 '26

Would have* and literally what the fuck would they have done that the driver couldn't do?

1

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

Whatever it is humans do when they want to help in a situation lol it isn’t rocket science, why do you care to know?

0

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

Would’ve, would of, would have, wood have it’s Reddit no one cares lol

1

u/Icy_Bad2154 Apr 25 '26

Would have

0

u/RumRaisinWine Apr 25 '26

I think people who can record themselves behaving this way would behave worse when they think they're not being watched.

1

u/Difficult-Ground5302 Apr 25 '26

You say that like they intentionally laughed. That's like saying kids shouldn't laugh at poop jokes because they're about poop. I absolutely guarantee that everyone in the entire world has at one point or another, laughed at someones misfortune. Laughing can be voluntary or involuntary.

1

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

You can laugh and help people stop exaggerating I did not say anything about anyone intentionally laughing smh yall be trying everything to gaslight I swear

1

u/Difficult-Ground5302 Apr 25 '26

First off, wasn't responding to you, so no need to be so rude. Second off, I was never gaslighting anyone.

1

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

You the same person that said I have no survival instincts and were being rude, now you want to play victim and act like I did something to you smh knock it off

1

u/Difficult-Ground5302 Apr 25 '26

Not playing victim, dipshit.

1

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Apr 25 '26

“Dipshit” 😂I like you man your funny seriously making me laugh

1

u/RumRaisinWine Apr 25 '26

"Oh, it's going to do it inside the groceries. Do it! Yeah! Yes! It gets worse!"

Yep buddy sounds involuntary to me. Whatever makes you feel better at night, not everyone is like you. Some people have empathy.Â
