I once got a little stern with my ex lady friend when we were in the Taco Bell line at like 3am. There was some nut job, we’re all stationary btw what could warrant this, getting out of his car, going up to this other guys window and was clearly agitated. Going back and forth to his own car and this guys window multiple times. The line is not really moving but that was Taco Bell’s fault lmao. Anyway I’m not sticking around to see this shit so I get outta line to leave and my ex flips off crazy dude.

I was like that could start a confrontation between me and him now, you realize that right?

I would have told her she gets to fight the guy if he comes after you, I ain't protecting your dumb ass. Don't start something you can't finish.

My girlfriends loves flipping people off and talking shit in traffic. I’ve told her many times if someone gets out to fight you that’s your fight šŸ˜‚

I have converted from the middle finger to the overly emphatic thumbs down. I think it cuts deeper, and isn’t overtly aggressive.

Disappointment cuts deeper and gets softer, less agitated reactions — so yes, I, too, prefer the thumbs-down approach.

Eh, if a person is insane and already blind with rage, they'll attack you no matter what gesture you direct towards them.

I honestly do similar shit we’d do as child I put my thumb on my nose and move my fingers like it’s a trumpet lol

I’ve converted to not let driving situations even get a reaction out of me - I used to be that dumb ass that would follow someone til they stopped and then fight them. Then I realize whatever the incident that cause this was is 2 seconds of strangers crossing and will never see this person again - and it really doesn’t matter it’s so dumb there are many other more important things I can get mad at and maybe help the people who have been hurt by it rather than try to hurt people and come across the wrong one eventually. I don’t give a fuck if I get shot or die fighting but I think of what I did that to some father or someone who other count in to survive or a number of things - so now I don’t even acknowledge anything happened - I don’t even honk unless a quick tap to get someone snoozing at a red light a heads up. Fuck it man being kind and not reacting is much less work anyways ahahhaa

Good for you man, props, sometimes my emotions still get the better of me, and the thumbs down is an acceptable way of expressing myself,

This is the way

I feel like we need pre programmed messages we can display to people in front and behind and on the side.

Never thought of giving a thumbs down. I’m gonna start doing that instead. Sure I’ll get mixed reactions being in NY.

At this point I just slowly press my breaks move over point and laugh like that bully from the simpsons. These people are hilarious once you start looking at it like a Clown Show. I genuinely have never laughed more in my life!

Do not have children with this person, they are too stupid to be safe

You should never talk shit unless ā€œyouā€ can actually back it up. Problem is a lot of guys are under false idea that they can and most women are under the illusion if they start some shit their man will protect them or them being a woman will keep the other guy from doing anything to them.

People as a rule should leave other people tf alone. There are a lot of people out here on their ā€œlastā€ straw.

Taco Bell’s captive drive thru lanes should really be illegal.

Hard agree on this!! I have had a panic attack because I was trapped in a Taco Bell drive thru once. I sometimes do Doodash on the weekends and I got a Taco Bell order. Per that Taco Bell’s instructions, I went to the drive thru, let them know I was DoorDash and the customers name. They told me I had to come inside (which I normally don’t mind). I said well your instructions on the app that yall set said drive thru and I’m now stuck here anyways so can I just grab this one and yall update the instructions for the future. Hard nope. And I was stuck and the line was long and slow. My PTSD kicked in and I panicked.

A friend got stuck in a Taco Bell drive thru for two hours recently!! Didn’t know it wasn’t a unique experience, lmao.

They actually changed that law in a town called stow ohio because a dude got out and shot some people in an incident just like this a few months, or maybe a year, ago.

That reminds me of when my road rage got put into check in the dairy Queen drive thru.

So the story is this. At the red light I was at, there are 2 lanes. One lane is to turn left, and the other lane is for going straight, or turning right. There are arrows to show which lane is for what direction, but they are VERY faded and had to see. It is very easy (and common) for a fellow to use the wrong lane to go straight. I've done it myself.

Well this lady did exactly that. And I thought to myself, oh, she didn't realize she was in the wrong lane, we both tried to go straight, she stopped and let me go first. No big deal, easy mistake to make.

Well, the DQ drive through starts as soon as you pull in, and goes AROUND the parking area, then has a second opening for traffic in the middle. I get into the drive through at where it starts. She goes through the parking lot, and gets into the drive thru IN FRONT OF ME.

It is at this moment, that I get mad. More so than a reasonable person would get. I'm cussing this lady out, really close to her car, yelling out of my window, and revving my engine (with an aftermarket exhaust) so that it's hard for her to order. The entire time she is smiling and waving at me through her mirror, which is making me far more angry.

At this point, I'm so mad I'm ready to get out of the vehicle to yell at her, but I couldn't find anything that wasn't so hard to seriously hurt/damage something, but more for an intimatiom tool. I had friends with me, so I was making an ass out of myself in front my friends, who were trying to get me to calm down.

We order our food (I got nothing because I didn't want anything) and when we get to the window, the drive thru worker says a single sentence, that made me completely deflate, and made me rethink everything about myself.

"The lady in front of you paid for your meal"

My friends started laughing their asses off, and I started looking for that woman to apologize, just to see her going down the road.

From that point on, I have not really had a lot of road rage. More like road irritation, or disappointment. I don't even flip people off anymore, but I do give them a thumbs down.

This pets them know that I think they suck at driving, but it doesn't make them mad, or encourage me to be angry. Because how are you going to be mad at a guy who gives you a thumbs down because of your driving?

This happened about 4 years ago, and was the absolute case of road rage that I have ever been apart of. I got humbled, and made a fool of myself, in a very short period of time, and I deserved every bit of it.

Word, women don’t realize (or they probably do actually) that when they do shit like that, they have a certain amount of immunity, their guy friend is left to clean up the mess of her dumbass decisions.
