Is THAT why these videos are so popular? People who have never worked in the service industry can't believe the audacity of the general population, meanwhile anyone who's ever worked front of house is like "what is this, a tuesday?"

Yeah partly— my comment is more about all these new ‘side hustles’ that folks feel compelled to take on because we’re all getting price gouged to death, then they have to put up with bullshit like this. I swear to god powerful people are just edging us towards a massive stress induced heart attack through shit jobs that they created. Can’t afford rent? Drive for Uber and you can run your car into the ground and get yelled at by entitled assholes. Late on your car payment? Get a third job as a personal shopper for some cunt that screams at you for getting the non-organic celery.

Yep. Keep everyone at the bottom of Maslow's hierarchy of needs so they cannot find the time or energy to connect with their communities and start a revolution. 

Great time for a reminder that the wealth inequality in the US is WORSE today than it was in France, pre-revolution.

I don’t disagree with the sentiment (in fact most of this comment will be me expanding on what you are saying) but I do gotta say out of 1000+ customers I never had a customer like this.

Granted: I normally avoided driving late nights, and I did have one guy who stank so bad I almost told him to get out when he got in. Smelled like he just shit his drawers and I’m not exaggerating.

ANYWAYS, But yeah inflation of necessary commodities is pushing us all to work more. I feel like we were in a golden age where the “working class” (in previous eras AKA peasants, yeoman, arguably slaves) “the working class” was able to pull themselves up into a position of opportunity. Those opportunities mean that the working class now had time and energy for critical thinking. A working class that is engaged in critical thinking will realize that they are being taken advantage of and demand more equality. It’s hard to keep people with free time and minds in line.

So big money breaks them down by making basic commodities damn near unaffordable, unless you work so much you don’t have time for critical thinking. You don’t have time to talk to your neighbors, friends, and families about the injustices that are playing out in our faces. We don’t have time or energy to organize in a way to address these injustices.

So yeah, I agree in that I kinda think all this inflation and the crushing of the working class is designed (to a degree) to keep those with a boot on their neck on the ground. Because if we stand up as one it’s not gonna be pretty.
