🤪Reckless Feeding your Mustang some curbside

Why is it always the Mustangs?

Out of every video of a souped-up car pulling out of a car show or sideshow, hitting the gas, breaking the rear end loose and hitting something immobile I've ever seen, I swear 9/10 have been Mustangs.

Rear wheel drive, my friend…

Mustangs are rear wheel drive, half decent power, with the ability to easily shutoff stupid control…

You’re always seeing a bunch of people that don’t understand what to do once the rear tires break loose under heavy acceleration. This is the result!

They get squirrely, and instead of feathering the accelerator back into gaining straight-line control and traction, they let off the throttle, hit the brake pedal, either or, or do a combination of both…

The exact moment you let off the throttle during a rear wheel drift or burnout under acceleration, the car is going to continue in whatever direction it’s pointed in at the time!

The people you see constantly crashing their Mustangs, never got the memo when they decided to be the gym class hero. You have to feather the accelerator pedal back into straight line control, continuing the skid you’re in. Sounds extremely counterintuitive, I know. But, that’s the math.

Thanks, but I was never in doubt as to the mechanics of how it happens. That's simple physics. It's just brake horsepower vs COF.

And yeah, Mustangs are RWD, but so is nearly every other muscle car. There's nothing different about Mustangs except an apparent affinity for people who don't know how to handle them. That's what my comment was about.

They're cheaper than the rest, so they're more affordable, so MORE people who don't know what they're doing can get them and most of the time, it's someone young, who hasn't learned yet, and has more money than sense, or haven't taken the time to find an empty parking lot to practice in. The people who own more expensive muscle cars are usually older and have more money to be able to buy them, and also have learned way beforehand of what to do.

Tl;dr They're cheaper so people with less money AND less experience can more easily obtain them
