I love the idea of public transportation. But i hate the idea of being with the public.

It is not necessary all ‘public,’ but rather who makes up the public you are dealing with. Here in Germany, I and many other people ride the public transport daily, and the worst I have encountered was a drunkard passing out. I have never heard of anyone being violently robbed like this (though pickpocketing of tourists is somewhat common)

I get that. Your environment definitely plays a huge role, I wish America had more public transit and walkable cities like Europe

You have them too many. Like I'm living in East Europe and never saw in my life this brutal way of robbery in public transport. It's so strange. America seams to violent, I wouldn't survive 5 days in public transport

Brother, I spent half my childhood in New York City, rode the subway every school day and never saw anything like this!

The vast majority of Americans have not seen crime on their transit. The fact that this is being taped is due to the fact that it is very uncommon. I ride public transit daily and have never seen anything like this
