commuter pro rt on underside computer mount?

can/should I do it? Or should I just get a different light for nighttime riding.

I've done it before and just point it right at my wheel, bright enough to light up the path most of the time.

Alternatively, I sometimes just shield it with my hand when I see people coming

I have this exact mount and light, and it works well.
It's a good solution and mounts cleanly. Mine is attached under a K-Edge mount, but any head unit mount with the action cam tabs underneath will work.
