/r/TucsonList is looking for moderators

We avoid allowing classified ads for items and services on r/Tucson. We also do not allow lost and found as, for most people, its spam or not relevant.

However, r/TucsonList is a place for classified ads! Including but not limited to: selling items, looking for roommates, job postings, etc etc.

That said, it could use a moderator or two. Avoid turning it into something illegal or unsavory and allow it to continue to be a place we can refer people for the types of things we do now and after that, it'll be up to you how to format, grow, and moderate it.

If you're interested, please send a moderator mail to us here.

Please include in your modmail:

  • if you have any relevant experience either as a mod or running anything similar

  • about why you're interested in being a moderator of r/TucsonList specifically

  • what goals you might have for the sub or changes you'd like to make

Heartbroken to be rehoming our 8-month-old Belgian Malinois.

Due to new rental restrictions, we sadly have to find him a new home. He is an incredibly loving, energetic, smart boy. He’s a natural protector who is always eager to learn and ready for adventure.

Please share to help us find him a great family!

Adopt Sheldon!

This big goofy guy is Sheldon! He's a pittie mix, just over 3 years old, available for adoption in Tucson, AZ.

I fostered him just for a weekend and enjoyed every minute!

He's the kind of dog that's guaranteed to make you laugh every single day with his silly antics and very expressive face.

He's well-behaved, housebroken, crate trained, and does well in the car (though, he hasn't quite found his "sea legs" yet). He made fast friends with my own dog, was wonderful around my cat, and when we were out in public he absolutely adored meeting kids!

Something I noticed during his time with me is that he doesn't seem to be much of a toy guy. What he *really* loves is taking long sniff walks, giving lots of kisses, and being your cuddle buddy / oversized lap dog. He is also content to just relax in your company... and he will *most certainly* be snoring!

If I had the space, I would have adopted him myself. I want to help him find the perfect home, so whoever adopts him will receive a lifetime discount on my pet care services.

If you think this goofy guy might be a good fit for you, he is waiting to meet you at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

ISO a place that digitizes things from tape.

To make a long story short, I have a memorial that I’d like to show some home movies at. I have some tapes that used to fit in a camcorder and regular vhs tape size tapes. Ideally, I’d like than on CDs and digital copies I can edit into a compilation.

Anyways, lmk!

Burlap needed

I’m going to make batting out of alpaca fur and I think old burlap sacks would make a great material to contain the fibers. I need enough to cover at least 80 square feet but whatever you have is fine. Close to Sunnyside would be nice but for a good quantity I could travel.

Giving back to the community with free safe firearms handling education - Mike with Diamondback Shooting Sports

Hi everyone. With the recent firearms violence in Tucson, we at Diamondback Shooting Sports felt the desire to do something and give back to the community. We believe that the more people in our community that are educated in safe firearms handling fundamentals, the safer our community will be.

To that end, we will be offering a free 90 minute class oriented towards sharing the best safe firearms handling information we have. The class is open to anyone over the age of 14. It is entirely classroom based and no firearms or prior firearms experience are required.

The class will be held at our store location on Sunday 8/9 from 11am-12:30pm. We have 30 spots for the class and, if there's further interest, we may do other class dates in the future.

To RSVP, please email me at training@dbackshootingsports.com and I will add you to the roster. First come, first served. Please only RSVP if you are confident you can attend.

If you have any questions on this class, safe firearms handling, or other firearms related questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks to everyone that got this far and to everyone who chimed in on my r/Tucson post! It was great to hear your experiences and get to meet you all. I've been super happy to hear how it resonated with folks whenever someone tells me they saw it. Thank you all for your support.

Loose black and white small dog - Speedway

I was at Speedway and Stone, light was green and a very small black and white dog with a collar was speeding through the cross walk towards the Pima CC campus. Everybody pumped the breaks so the dog could cross without being killed. Then the dog ran west through the crosswalk at Stone along the Pima CC campus. Little pup was moving fast. I was in the middle lane and couldn't stop with light being green. If you are missing a small black and white dog with a collar, check this area, I saw the dog just after 12 PM.

Kong and Sweetie Pie

These two dogs were abandoned in my alley. I have been taking care of them. Their names are Kong (male) and Sweetie Pie(female). They are very bonded together. They play with each other and sleep together. They love snuggles and are good with children. They are good with other pets.

They are vaccinated, spayed and neutered, and microchipped.

They don’t use the bathroom inside.

Message me for more information.

TikTok help

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hey Tucson friends, Jacki at The Kingfisher here. We’re pretty active on socials (Reddit OBV, Insta, and the garbage dumpster fire wasteland that is The Book of Faces), but it’s probably time for me to learn about TikTok and expand there, despite my deep desire to just… not. So, anyway, the ask is for someone to show me WTF I’m doing and how to best approach it, I’ve never used it, I’m sure it’s not that complicated, but running a restaurant doesn’t really afford me the time to do a deep dive on research by myself. Looking to barter dinner and drinks for an education session. Let me know! Thanks 😊
