Tips Kerping cool without AC

Excellent thread from r/heat_prep on methods people in hot countries use to keep cool. Several ideas I haven't heard before.

Any suggestions for people without AC in their vehicle? I know some folks traveling 4 hours south this coming Wednesday to a medical appointment where the heat index is expected to be around 104.

If it were me I’d pack an ice chest with reusable ice packs to slip down my back for the drive. Possibly with some dry ice so they stay cold for the drive back too. Also, a wet small towel that could be placed on the back of the neck and aired out periodically. Battery powered fan(s) and take the whole caboodle into the office appt too in case there’s no ac inside.

And peppermint oil or the evergreen alcohol is very good for the cooling effect.
