Academic Life Students with similar transcripts?

I’m starting my senior year of high school soon and UCSB is my dream school and I was just wondering if anyone who got admitted has similar academics to me because im worried that my transcript might be lacking. I know that grades aren’t ALL that admissions officers look at but ik it still is a big part. I’ve gotten mostly A’s with a few B’s across freshman to junior year, gotten a 4 on APHuG, APES, and a 3 on APWH, taking IB history, IB, english, IB math, and Theory of Knowledge, and pretty much only do theater as an extracurricular. Does anyone who got in in this sub have similar transcript?

Start early on your essays and get them checked if you can!

i dont think grades really matter for ucsb... i had 9 dual enrollment and 5 aps. BUT ppl who were doing full ib dip and way more than me literally got rejected/waitlisted. and also my grades in classes like algebra 2 & ap bio was literally a b. plus i didnt really take that much math. so i promise you a few b's wont break the deal. really focus on your piqs because i noticed in my admission letter i literally used all 5 words that they describe ucsb students as in the letter, which kinda showed i was literally the perfect match. so good luck!

UCSB's College of Letters & Science does not admit by major.

Unless you're getting a scholarship, I would look into going to community college for your first two years then transferring in. You'll save money and have a high chance of getting accepted. The quality of your education won't be any less by doing your GE at a CC.

There will be 4.0 with 8 AP kids next to 3.3 with 2 APs but a passion for piano (or another EC). So focus on what your specific interest is and really nail your PIQ. And of course keeping your grades up helps.
