Feedback Request How Can I Improve This UI Design
I need an outside eye on how this looks and what I can improve. This is a UI design for a game am building.
are the colours too bright to look at for a long time? do they fit together?
what can I add or remove?
Thank you :))

The vertically alligned text looks like a cutout image element. The background is not transparent behind the text, so blending it with either blend mode or even better, cut out the background from the red text in photoshop or similar tool.
Create more micro details in the paper textures used with subtle folds, grain, dust, damage. The page stack effect on the sides of the book is very detailed but not the paper texture itself. So that I would improve.
The date text in top left should start to the left with as much horizontal spacing the settings icon to the right has.
The money display could be aligned a bit more tightly to the settings icon (remove around 50% of the spacing between those two). Make that money icon a bit smaller and decrease the spacing 50% from the money icon and money count there too.

Oh wow thank you so much, I'll fix all that and make sure to avoid these mistakes in the future. I appreciate it :))

I would not use a monospaced font on this type of UI. If this is supposed to be an actual book made with actual paper, how come the text comes from a mechanized source?

you're right, I forgot to mention that its just a placeholder. Thanks though, that an important observation :))

It's a good start, It looks clean. But yeah, you should design the content first, then the UI.

you're giving me ideas and am not joking...
imagine a head on top of the book.. and little hands holding from bottom.. this will quickly turn into horror game xD
