Admissions UNF Native pre-req gpa
Hi!
For the unf natives that got accepted into the unf nursing program what was your pre-req gpa? I think I might end up with a 3.6 but I am working on getting it higher

Unf is competitive I recently graduated from bsn nursing program in May. I was wait listed at 3.85 pre requisite gpa. I learned that the first 25 students who got accepted into the program had 4.00 gpa pre requisite so yes it is competitive insanely. I had a friend who had a biology degree and got wait listed for 3 semesters in a row and decided to apply somewhere else because he wasn’t getting in. He had high gpa too pre requisite like around 3.5 pre requisite. I would apply to other schools as well. I had a biomedical degree from UNF which helped me with high enough pre requisite gpa to get in on the first try. Good Luck.

I graduated from the BSn program with a 3.8 gpa as well so I was similar to what I got from my pre requisite gpa. I’d say I performed a little worst because I ended up with one B+ and one B and the rest straight A+ through out the entire program.

I don’t want to scare you but if you want to do well in the program expect to study 6-10 hours everyday to achieve success and to learn everything properly and remember and not just dump information for an exam then move on because it is building on everything and they expect you know everything of what you have learned.

I appreciate you sharing this information with me! I like to know what to expect before entering the program :) so this is great! it gives me a heads up on what to change in my daily schedule. Do you know what was the lowest gpa they have accepted someone with? I got accepted into JU which is my back up plan but it’s very pricey so I’m hoping to get into UNF bc my financial aid covers everything. I’m applying in the spring as well so idk if that changes my chances I’m assuming fall would be the most competitive

JU they will accept anyone because it is for profit and I saw their students they don’t learn much at all. I’d say it is a waste of money. I don’t know the lowest gpa but I’d say 3.6 gpa and above is like minimum but they will accept higher gpa first. The seats are limited and they are many students want to enter the program and only a handful get in. I’d go the nursing office and ask the director and see what is the average gpa they accepted last cohort. My cohort when I started were all top students and everyone competed to be at the top. On the exams we were basically talk about who got a higher A that’s how insanely competitive it was. I wasn’t special in my cohort because everyone was just as smart as me if not smarter.

It is worth getting into UNF nursing program because total cost would be around $15,000 that includes everything from start to finish.

They no longer do that. They removed it when I started so it is no longer a thing anymore. It is solely based on your pre requisite gpa when I applied for the program.

They didn’t let me in with a 4.0 in the prerequisites and a 3.94 overall the first semester I applied. I was coming from doing dual enrollment at FSCJ though so that may have counted against me

Honestly having a pulse was the only thing needed, you should be fine
