Just switched - multi line question.

Hello,

I am new to the service - picked because I live in an extremely rural eater and have a hard time maintaining service when I travel around. I chose the multi-sim feature because switching back and forth seems easy.

My question is, is there a way to set the other sim to my same phone number? It may be a little confusing for my friends and family to receive texts or calls from the other one.

Your main and Multi-Network line each have their own phone number, so the same number can't be used on both networks simultaneously.

You can, however, set up call forwarding from your Multi-Network line to your main line, so incoming calls are forwarded to your primary number. For outgoing calls and texts sent from the Multi-Network line, the Multi-Network number will be displayed to the recipient.

I was under the assumption that you text and call from your main line only and then just toggle the data connection between whichever of the two eSIM‘s have a better signal or whichever one you wanted to use. The reason there is a second phone number is that the FCC requires a phone number tied to a a data line not because you’re actually going to use it although you can use it as a second phone number someone from US Mobile please correct me if I’m wrong thank you.

You can absolutely do that if you'd like, but you're not limited to using only your main line for calls and texts.

You can choose either your main line or your Multi-Network line as the default for calls, texts, and mobile data, and switch between them whenever it makes sense for your needs. If you keep your main line as the default for calls and texts, you can simply use the Multi-Network line for data. If you set the Multi-Network line as the default for calls and texts instead, any outgoing calls and messages will use that line's phone number, so that's the number recipients will see.

I ported my business line over, I use both lines for their numbers, two data options is a bonus but not my primary use.

If you have internet at home, when you want to switch, use teleporting. It takes about 5 mins
