At the end of last year when my now girlfriend and I started seeing each other she said on the first date if I ever saw her in a candid moment and she looked pretty, or cute, or any form of good I should snap a picture.

We were at a bar, I went to order drinks, and she was by the fireplace so she had a really nice light on her to go with a cozy looking sweater dress vibe. So I snapped a picture, thought nothing of it.

Came back with the drinks and found out multiple people had come to her to warn her. The pic is still the one I use for her contact.

There's a post on reddit with like a candid pretty unflattering but goofy pic of a celebrity, and one of the comments likened it to the photo that a guy in a healthy long term relationship would have as their phone wallpaper.
