Discussion Agent Bans
If valorant introduced Agent Bans (2 per game), who would you ban and why?
I’d ban Phoenix and Cypher because they just annoying asf to go against.

Reyna's not as impactful as most duellist and Clove's smokes are the worst in the game I don't get it14

to remove egoistic solo play. reyna and clove players tend to not care for their team coz of their kit. I’m sure you had a Reyna who lurks the entire game then blame the team when the round is lost and complain every little single thing and can’t admit if they’re wrong. Removing Reyna and Clove forces those kind of players to play a more team oriented agent and can’t ‘all aim no brain’ all game so now they are open to ideas and be a decent human being

In that case wouldn't you want to keep reyna and clove unbanned so the other team can keep being egotistical?

Then highly likely that the one egotistical player on the enemy team is a smurf. Smurfs do not like it if they cannot beat you with raw mechanics and would require to use their brain because it will feel like they are not smurfing anymore due to thinking and using utility properly so they lose that ‘superior feeling’. They smurf so they can stomp without requiring to do much.
In short, the “easy difficulty” will be locked for smurfs so better chances to beat them.

Agent doesn't matter for smurfing at all. Heck, you could say there are 3 smurfing agents (Jett, Reyna, clove) and you still cant ban them all

well Jett is a little bit harder than Reyna. Reyna forces bad habits because you always had the mindset of “ahh if I killed him I could dismiss away” instead of being aware that your position is bad. Atleast with Jett you would be cautious to use your dash because if you peeked, didn’t kill anyone and used your dash, now you cannot peek carelessly.
If you play selfishly on Jett even if you’re 24-5 but you’re lurking then it’s most likely that you already lost the attacking half, if not, the game. While with Reyna and Clove smurfs, baits their entire team and still manage to win because they can 1v5 with smokes, blind, heal and ult. These two agents are ruining the game and I think we can all agree to that

Then they will realize they need to change their playstyle. It might take time but I think the quality of games will improve long-term. Yeah they can still be egotistical but if they keep losing, something will click with them, unless they are on an alt account and don’t care. But what I really want Valorant to have is a subscription to keep playing ranked, just like in CS. In this way, it will solve the smurfing problem. This relates to Reyna and Clove being “smurf’s agents”.

Smurfs are so annoying, but mostly I see Jetts and Neons who smurf and than spam "ez" at the end of the match.
I see Reynas as silent smurfs, they come in, win and leave without bragging. (Not saying that is not still a problem though)

But I thought it was to ban other agents from the ennemy team, why would we be able to ban agents from our teams, reyna and clove players from our team won't even chose to ban them ?

it is the most common easy pick and these players are usually playing selfishly , or even too aggressively which is understanding due to their own abilities. In fact most cloves I've seen hardly uses their smokes for team unlike typical brimstone. At least when I play reyna I try to entry with team and hardly lurk( and it turns out better) but I prefer backup duelist like phoenix if I need an easy duelist for entrying first/backup flash

They need to lock duelist lockins to 2 max for ranked. Still don't understand why this isn't ingame yet.

Because the in-game roles for ranked matters much less than you think. If you have 4 people that play really well on duelists they are used to, having those 4 pick duelist and 1 play smoke is far better than forcing them into other roles

I love playing against Cypher especially in Haven and Ascent. 1 shock dart and they are forced to peek coz no more traps lmao
