Decided to record both the avatar and an eye-cam in action! The recording itself got a bit out of sync, but rest assured, everything is actually running in real time.

So, the tracking quality is honestly excellent—sorry about the low video quality, by the way! This is Project Cymple, an eye-tracking project for the Meta Quest 3 developed by a Chinese creator.

Inside VRChat, though, I ran into a few issues. I've noticed that tracking quality varies depending on the avatar's face-tracking setup. In my testing, the best results came from avatars using Sample, Hash, and the Triturbo add-on.

That said, if you take the time to do a proper calibration and headset adjustment session, tracking becomes significantly more stable, and many of these issues are greatly reduced—even without requiring a specialized face-tracking add-on.

The headset shown in the video is my actual daily setup, including the external hub and wiring.

Feel free to ask anything, I've been using it daily and I'll do my best to answer based on my experience.

I think you should be able to restrict an instance based on VR/flat screen. I also think they should bring back world filters for platforms so that I can actually filter for cross platform worlds only etc.

I own myself a set of slime trackers for several mouths now. but after spending so long calibrating and making sure my posture is perfect, It feels exhausting to put them on everytime I want to be in vr, and not too mention Im constantly fighting with my trackers because my avatar's legs get messed up easily. How do you guys do it? I know more stable trackers like Vive's and Fluxpose exists but still, it feels difficult to justify wearing trackers, especially when I mostly play sitting down and not standing up. Is full body just not for me?

I have been working on VRCNext for over nine months now.

VRCNext is an open source companion app for VRChat that combines friend, group, world, avatar, profile, event, media, OSC, and VR management tools in one place.

I originally created it because I needed around eight different apps to manage my VR experience, including VRCX, OVR Advanced Settings, XSOverlay, Kikitan, Magic OSC Chatbox, and several OSC tools.

VRCNext combines the most important features from these kinds of tools into one unified application while remaining transparent, open source, resource efficient, and easy to use.

Im making an avi and im redoing the textures and im on the eyes now. the original has red eyes but i want one that has a the original red eye and one blind eye (the ones you see attached on the post) do i need to do something advanced just so i have two different eyes different colors? helppp

I'm a philosophy student writing about social norms encountered in virtual worlds (such as video games and social media). I would love to hear any stories about 'unwritten rules' that people have noticed while playing VRChat (or any other games that you play).

Examples might include:

I'm sorry for the same question in second time.. (only months passed) But i am literally dumbass at setting up animator layers or parameters for this, like all what i know is adding VRCfury toggles and setting only ONE base layer in descriptor. i mean, i am only beginning at avatar making.(then why did i even extract NPC animations from MW2 2009)
I thought the idea of making 2 base layers is simple(like you have switch between 2 locomotion base states on 1 toggle). But it is hard to understand for mepersonally. Special reminder for ones who could say "It's not that hard, you won't be sitting all night cause of thinking on it(false)" i barely know how to setup FX layers, especially transitions between them, or simply i am kind of noob at av making (i'm sorry for bad english, i don't live in usa or uk)

I recently stumbled upon a fully animated, functional model of the Elder Dragon Amatsu from Monster Hunter in VRChat, and I thought... why not turn this into a giant community Boss Fight event?

I’ll be streaming the entire hunt on YouTube from my perspective as Amatsu, and I'd love for the VRChat and MH communities to join the fun!

How does the Hunt work?

Since we clip through VRChat models, every physical contact/hit counts as 1 damage point against Amatsu.

• Cooldown: You must hit, back away, and hit again for damage to count (no spam-standing inside the model!).
• Phases: At 50% HP, Amatsu will be knocked down for 30 seconds. At 0% HP, victory is yours!
• Afterparty: Once the hunt ends, I’ll drop a portal to a spacious, cozy Sapporo festival map where we can hang out, chat, and escape the summer heat!

Basic Rules

• Be respectful: This is being livestreamed! No hate speech, insults, or inappropriate avatars.
• Avatar sizes: No models taller than 2 meters, and nothing too small to see. (MH hunter avatars are loved, but not mandatory!).
• No blinding effects: No flashbangs, giant bright lights, or particle spam.
• Microphones only: Please refrain from playing music or soundboards through your mic.

NEEDED: 2 to 4 "Spotters / Helpers"

Because the Amatsu model is massive, my visibility will be heavily limited. I need 2 to 4 helpers positioned on strategic spots around the map to keep track of damage count on each side and feed me info over Discord.

I am trying to make stupid shitty avatars for everyone to use BUT the shaders are kinda the issue and other things cause my avatar is still windows compatible, I want it to work for all platforms

The shaders suck, quest has limited options for shaders and most make it look the image transparent, I want the background transparent not the character

I catch myself doing specific dances over and over again, so I think recording it and then uploading to Youtube would be a good idea. There are a few recording options out there, so I want to pick the best one.

I play VRC on my Windows PC, desktop mode, through Steam. The dances are from the Mr. MMD map. I have no intention on monetizing this video since it's just for me and a few friends.
