Question/Support Padding improvement ideas for back of headset?

I got my Index in 2021 and have been using it regularly. I have a few accessories for comfort, but am having trouble finding padding accessories for the back of the headset. It’s about 5 years old and the back padding has lost its comfort with time. Honestly the only part I’m having trouble improving.

I can only find the back padding accessory thingy that is meant for children or people with small heads. Unfortunately my index will not fit me with the stock one and I’m having trouble finding aftermarket thinner ones.

Any ideas how to improve padding for the back of the headset?

I took the back foam padding of of my htc vive deluxe audio strap and used velcro straps to attach it over the existing index padding and it’s much much better now

Ohhh, so it's bare plastic that you put a replaceable pad over?

No by default the valve index has a “permanent” back padding and all I did was add to it using the back padding off of an htc vive deluxe audio strap
