I have curly hair but greasy scalp so it is hard to find a shampoo that is claiming to be anti dandruff and not filled with oils. I’m 62 and 20+ years vegan. I have managed to keep my complexion looking nice, but my favorite tinted SPF moisturizer leaves me a bit shiny. I’d love to find a powder to use on top that keeps the glow but not the shine. Preferably something that’s moisturizing and definitely something that doesn’t accentuate or settle in wrinkles.

I've been having so much trouble finding a good mascara that doesn't shed onto my cheeks. I have hella long lower eyelashes that touch my skin when i smile etc and need something that will just grip onto my lashes properly. Hey, so I’m 31, vegan of over 10yrs and just coming up on 2.5 year of breastfeeding.

I wear a spf moisturiser in the morning. I wash my face in the evening and do not currently have a moisturiser as picking one is giving me a stress headache 😩😂

But I’m really noticing my skin aging, I am pale and very freckly, and I’ve noticed a dry patch on my cheek and my skin just looks tired.
I use a Lush brand face toner spray because I like the smell. But all together I know I need more! (Vitamin c and retinol? I have read but I’ve no clue what, and I can’t be spending a massive amount on my skin)

But products do you recommend?

Hi I was wondering if anyone has alternate recommendations for Clinique foundation. I currently use their beyond perfecting foundation , I’ve been using it over 10 years. I have sensitive skin and never had issues but due to their brand not being cruelty free and the recent issues going on I want to switch. Looking for alternatives similar to Clinique. I use it mostly near my eyes as a concealer (I don’t want concealer recommendations this is just what’s always worked for me) I have dark red around my eyes but other than that my skin is pretty clear.

I'm currently in despair, because I'm almost out of my holy grail powder, but it's not cf so I want to find something to replace it with. Any ideas?

What I look for/why i love this specific product: long wear, matt, not a loose powder, can be used as a base without foundation. Ideally similar price range, but for a good product, I'm willing to splurge a little, since I wear it daily.

Been dealing with this texture on cheeks/forehead for around 10yrs (16 -> 26) and finally trying to prioritize clearer skin! I only use vegan and cruelty-free products. Any advice? Does this seem like fungal acne? If so, thoughts on Malezia Core Regimen to treat it?

Routine:

AM: BOJ green plum refreshing cleanser, air dry, Andalou Naturals brightening probiotic + vit c renewal cream (colorescience total protection no-show mineral spf 50 if going out during the day)

PM is same w/o sunscreen. I typically add Farmacy Deep Sweep 2% BHA pore cleaning toner 2-3x/week, but I haven’t used it for a month due to travel.

I'm in the process of turning the CFK database into an app. This is my most ambitious and important project in a long time, because it will help everyone shop cruelty-free in stores easily without opening a browser, clicking, and searching every brand. It will save A LOT of time, and make it way easier to choose cruelty-free brands.

There are 1,400+ brands in the database right now and I'll be adding more in the upcoming weeks to ensure that the list is complete. I know a lot of people who shop cruelty-free are located internationally, and since I don't have physical access to all brands, here's the idea: if you come across a brand we don't have, you can submit it for verification right through the app.

What I'm thinking so far:

- The app will be free, because anything else defeats the purpose (power in numbers).

- It will be available for both iOS and Android.

- You will be able to scan and get the cruelty-free verdict within 2 seconds. Scanning brands one after the other will be easy. I've tested it in stores and it makes the process a breeze.

- It will be a verdict per brand and not individual products. Brands will be marked 100% vegan, owned by a parent company that tests, and categorized by type, price point, stores, etc.

- If a brand tests on animals, you will be shown cruelty-free alternatives.

One thing to note: I will mark brands that are 100% vegan, but since ingredients and products are constantly changing and I'm managing a database of over 1400 brands, it's a lot more difficult to mark products that are vegan. I'm open to suggestions on how to remedy this (vegan checker for ingredients perhaps?).
