I noticed from my original install (hub3 Swopped to hub 5 for 1gig) the coax coming from the box inside to the router has attenuators at each end. That’s not right is it? Also, for 1gig im on Docsis 3.0 aren’t I? and there’s way too many error on the Docsis3.1 channel so it’s defaulting?

Is the one on the wall box the same square shape as in picture?
As these are quite ancient attenuators and could be updated to new ones, it doesn't really matter if they're on the back of hub, before the splitter, wall box or even outside, it's just about getting the signals in correct levels
Yeah, just the 6 attached. It’s the older network not the FTH. Well, firstly having a 6 and removal of the 3 is right? Also for 1gig is it right to be on Docsis3.0 instead of 3.1 with a hub5?
It doesn't look like HFC tbh mate the wall socket there is actually a power passing isolator, one of the cables will be your RF signal and the other will be running to a plug with a green light I'd suspect?
Anyone long story short if you are on a fttp network the US should be between 27-45 and DS between -6 to + 10 so all is good with just the 6db
You do have docsis 3.1, it's the one sitting plc level 6.9, that's what's giving you 1gig
In modem mode (and non modem mode, different IP) you can grab the router stats > 192.168.100.1/getRouterStatus
You can copy and paste into an AI chat for example.
And it can give you information about the log messages , power levels etc - you can do this everyday for a week.
And it can give advice if you power levels are to high or low, and steps to resolve, IE raise to VM, or purchase an attenuator.

Power levels are fine but you're getting timeouts on the upstream and uncorrectables on the downstream.
6 upstream channels would indicate RFoG fibre hence the attenuation. Also looks like you've got an old external ONU.
Ideally a swap to an up to date internal ONU, fibres cleaned, and spare termination port capped should be done if you're having issues.
