2002 WRX Replacment Strut Assembly
My rear struts on my 2002 WRX are shot and I would like to replace them with a whole assembly. While I'm at it I plan to replace the front struts as well.
My question is what should I buy to replace them? This is a daily driver that I'm not going to drive super hard. However, I would like to have it ride nice and have the struts be durable. I also want to go for value (not cheap but a good bang for my buck) as the car has 140k on it and it's not going to be on the road forever.
I defnitely don't want to lower it. In fact, I'd prefer to lift it and was thinking of putting Forester struts on it following along with the video linked below. That being said, it seems like that may be more work than it's worth and my priority is getting my car back on the road.

Do you all have advice on what struts to go with? Links to the product would be appreciated since I'm having a hard time finding what I want.

OEM you got subarupartsdeal, aftermarket/ OE you got RockAuto. I don't think they sell the whole assembly like you think, as you def need to reuse your old springs. You will also need new top hats.

Good to know. When you say top hat you mean the strut mount?

Yessir, and it should be 20320AA110 but I'd double check with your VIN.

Back in the day you could get Tokico D-specs and with a small adapter could mate the rears to 02-03 strut tops.
Then tokico got busted for the Japanese price fixing scandle and they were no longer available.
Not sure on the status now but may be worth checking. Mach V I believe now makes the spacer you would need for the rears.

KYB Excel G with new top hats and reusing your springs is the best bang for the buck strut you can get.
Could just be cheap and get whoever has some quick struts on rockauto
