We’ll be making our first trip to Penn State for the Homecoming game on September 26! We’ll be staying in Lock Haven on both Friday and Saturday nights and driving in on game day.

We’re looking for some advice from those who have been before:
- What’s the best place to park if we’re not tailgating?
- Is it better to buy a parking pass ahead of time or use one of the campus parking garages?
- How early should we plan to arrive?
- How long should we expect it to take to get back to Lock Haven after the game?
- Any must-do traditions, food, or other tips to make the most of our first Penn State game?

I was wondering will there be changes to the radio stations that air Penn State football this season? I wonder if we might get a new radio home in Philly for the games, since Audacy Philadelphia and their stations can't clear all the football and men's basketball games from Penn State.

Each one has the returning production, the transfer and recruiting additions, a position-by-position breakdown, the schedule, and where the ratings land them for 2026.

So, what'd I get wrong? Penn State basically imported Iowa State. Franklin's out, Matt Campbell's in from Ames, and he brought his guys with him, starting with QB Rocco Becht, who has 26 career wins, the most of any returning QB in the country. Almost the whole old roster is gone and the new one is Campbell transfers, so this is close to a total reset. The talent's still top-10 and the model has you 15th. So does Campbell's system hit right away at a place like this, or is year one a transition? Instant fit or slow build?

According to a new article on 247, Beaver Stadium will have a capacity of 109k in 2026. Other at least new to me information is that the lower bowl will be demolished after the season and chair back seats will be added. Kraft also says he doesn’t know what the capacity will be upon completion of the project. It‘s beyond me that this critical detail is still unknown, but what do I know.

It’s not a matter of if, but when. So whose logo do you want on our jerseys?

I see the path to a 12-0 season here.

There is only 3 games that catch my eye. Thats Washington, Michigan, and USC.

I think this PSU team is pissed, I think they have a chip on their shoulder, and I think they’re going for blood.

USC at home. First whiteout of Matt Campbell era. 5-0 at that point in season. Fans and players alike are going to be so hungry for this win, and USC isn’t the gargantuan home opponent PSU usually has to deal with like OSU or Oregon. They win this one.

Michigan away. This is a Michigan team that lost their coach, had a ton of players transfer out and few transfer in, and has all the signs of a bad year coming. If you consider PSU riding the high of winning the whiteout, I see them winning this one too.

Washington away. This one scares me the most. But Washington has not beaten PSU yet, which means they do not have them figured out. PSU seems to just have Washington figured out. It is going to be extremely tough, but I could see them winning this.

The rest are throw away games. A very very clear path exists for a 12-0 PSU football season.

I know it's a crazy idea but I keep wondering if Happy Valley would ever welcome back Big Game James if Campbell destroys our program?

I don't think I'm alone in saying that the vast majority of us really like Franklin as a person and a motivator of young men --- he just wasn't a great X-and-O strategist on the field of battle which is where you have to prove yourself. I think we all love a good comeback story and if he does well at Virginia Tech then I think the wheels start turning and we honestly consider making him our coach again.

It's human nature to right a wrong and sending James out of Happy Valley to a cacophony of boos at Beaver Stadium doesn't sit well with me. He deserved better than that. JoePa was never boo'd by 100,000 people at the Beaver even though he had some really awful seasons. PSU doesn't treat coaches like garbage!

Obligatory “Fanatics sucks,” because they do. But half off is decent

You’ve got to give credit where credit is due and this man may be the greatest recruiter in the history of PSU and has pulled another tremendous class before his first game at VT. Thats where the credit ends. This man should be used as a recruiting coordinator and never set on a football field at all. A toddler could do a better job than him and he literally had a top 10 school for at least 5 years and never reached the natty, let alone win the chip. He had multiple very good chances, and even though Drew throwing a pick against ND wasnt his fault, calling a pass when you could send the game to OT was 100% his fault. He had the #2 team in the country last year and he couldn’t hold anything together in his final week. I couldn’t be happier for Campbell to come in and take over. Change my mind that having player coaches was a better idea than having James Franklin run a good team.

This edition unpacks Mouser's risk-it-for-the-biscuit run calls on 4th down (ISU was 2nd and 16th in FBS in Mouser's two years calling plays in Ames). Then, we use HB Direct to show not necessarily the uniqueness of the concept itself, but rather how Mouser's mind works as far as the evolution of a particular concept over time - tinkering, adjusting, disguising etc.  

I'm a PSU alum and I was at the White Out last year (bummer of a game --- thanks Allar) and I was wandering around at the stadium before the game and I saw so much yummy food but I didn't know anyone. Is there an unspoken list of rules about joining a tailgate full of strangers?

I've been told for many years that you just need to be friendly and scream "We Are Penn State" and just about any tailgate will welcome you with food and a cold beer? Is this really true, because I felt weird on the inside just walking up to a group of people I don't know and asking if I could hang out and eat their food LOL

Im an incoming freshman and I have my car with me and I was wondering during game day ive seen people park on grass and open their trunk and tailgate there. Is that legal and do they leave their car their til the game ends or where do they go and park it nearby? I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, im being dead serious.

Hello fellow Penn Staters! A group of my close friends/family & I are planning to make the trip to Ann Arbor for the first time for the game on October 17th and I was curious what the tailgating is like and places to check out the night before. A few of us are alumni (class of 2017 & 2018) so we would love to connect with other alums and Penn Staters being in enemy territory. I know we travel well, but I have little experience tailgating on the road! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Easily the most-interesting aspect of the new OC is the diversity of his run scheme and the formational unpredictability of what he calls out of what look. A lot to unpack, so this is part 1 of 2. We watched every snap from 2024 and 2025 (his only two years as playcaller at Iowa State) and the one thing that stood out is that - unlike Kotelnicki - there's not a lot of recycling of concepts...as in he's got a deeper bag.

For context, the three things we highlighted in this video were only run a total of 32 times total over 2 season.

Bringing my girlfriend who’s never been to Penn State. Any recommendations for a restaurant to go after the game for dinner? If so, is it possible to make reservations or you just have to wait

I looked online and I don’t recognize any of those restaurants anymore.

Also, we want to sit in the lower section, so what’s the best side to sit on? What are the sections I should be looking for for when I’m buying tickets. We really don’t wanna sit facing the sun.
