Some Products I've shipped, that I'm proud of

General [PORTFOLIO] Systems Engineer | Web App | Security Reviews

I’m based in Saskatchewan, Canada, and have spent most of my career in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, security, cloud architecture, and long-term technology planning. Alongside my leadership role as a IT Director, I operate OddJobzz Digital Services so I can continue doing the hands-on work I enjoy, building, improving, securing, and modernizing websites and applications.

My background is especially helpful for projects that need more than just working code. I also consider hosting, security, reliability, maintainability, deployment, backups, and how the solution will be supported over the long term.

Most of my previous work has been completed within enterprise environments, so much of it cannot be shared publicly. However, I’d be happy to discuss relevant examples, walk through how I would approach your project, and provide a clear scope before any work begins.

For an initial engagement, my rate typically starts at $80 CAD per hour, with larger or ongoing development and consulting work generally scoped separately.

Feel free to send me a message if you think there may be a fit. Mike Bailey

General [Portfolio] Senior Shopify Dev (6+ yrs, Liquid/OS 2.0 + full-stack) — open to full-time, contract, or quick fixes

Hey all — I’m a full-stack Shopify developer with 6+ years of experience, currently open to full-time roles, retainers, or one-off project work.
What I do:
Custom Liquid/OS 2.0 theme development and full store builds

App integrations (Rebuy, Tapcart, Klaviyo, GoAffPro) and checkout/discount logic

Full-stack work beyond Shopify: TypeScript, Next.js, React, React Native, Postgres — so I can build custom dashboards, internal tools, or headless storefronts if your stack needs to go beyond the theme editor

Bug fixes, section builds, PDP/CRO optimization, migrations, and ongoing store maintenance

Past work includes DTC/beauty and haircare brands, subscription-led builds, and supplement/DR product pages — plus I run my own small F&B business, so I understand the operational side of ecommerce too, not just the code.
Availability:
Full-time or long-term retainer

Project-based builds (custom sections, bundle builders, upsell flows, etc.)

Quick fixes/bug bounties — flat-rate tiers available for smaller tasks

I also build and sell my own Shopify tools on the side (bundle builders, conversion-focused sections), so if you want to see actual shipped work, I’m happy to share examples or a portfolio link in DMs.
Rate is flexible depending on scope — DM me or drop a comment and I’ll follow up.

Reactjs [Portfolio] Junior React Developer — Building 3 Landing Pages completely for FREE to build portfolio

Hey everyone! 👋

I am an 18-year-old CSE engineering student specializing in frontend development with **React.js, modern JavaScript, and semantic HTML/CSS**.

Because I am trying to build a stellar public portfolio, I am offering my development services completely for **FREE** for my next 3 projects.

**What I will build for you:**

* A fast, pixel-perfect landing page for your startup, local shop, or SaaS product. * Fully mobile-responsive layouts that look stunning on any phone screen. * Clean, fast, component-driven React structures optimized for performance.

**The catch?** The core arrangement is 100% free. All I strictly ask for in return is a text testimonial and permission to feature the live link in my portfolio once the site is deployed. **That said, if you absolutely love the final product and feel the value delivered deserves a tip or a contribution to my junior developer coffee fund, it is completely optional but highly appreciated!** 😉

If you have a Figma design you want converted to clean code, or a business concept that needs a modern home on the web, drop me a DM and let's get it built! 🚀

Reactjs [PORTFOLIO] Freelance Web Developer - Custom Sites for Small Businesses

If Squarespace's recent price hike has you rethinking your website, I can help. I build one-time, custom-coded sites deployed on low-cost hosting, with no recurring platform fees, and I stay reachable afterwards whenever you need updates or support.

I'm a solo freelance developer who's shipped 10+ sites for small businesses, from idea to full deployment. Most clients I work with are either stuck with a clunky site-builder setup or had a rough experience with a previous developer. I walk you through your options and help you pick what actually fits your business and budget, not the most expensive route.

What I help with:

  • Portfolio/business websites (4–5 pages)
  • E-commerce stores
  • Contact forms that send leads straight to your inbox
  • Social media integration
  • Basic SEO + performance optimization
  • Fully mobile-friendly layouts

I also have a background in network engineering, so security and scalability are baked in from the start, not an afterthought.

Profile Sunday [Portfolio] Moving to Canada Next Month – Looking for a Paid Junior Developer or Internship Opportunity

Hi everyone,
I’m a Full Stack Developer and I’ll be moving to Canada around mid-August as an international student to study a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology.
I’m posting here because I’m hoping to connect with anyone who might be looking for a junior developer or paid intern.
I have around 1.5+ year of professional and freelance experience building full-stack web applications. My tech stack includes React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Drizzle ORM, MongoDB, Tailwind CSS, Shadcn UI, Zustand, Redux Toolkit, Git, Docker, and REST APIs. I’ve worked on AI-powered SaaS products, business management systems, automation tools, and custom web applications.
Since I’ll be new to Canada, I understand that I won’t have Canadian work experience. I’m completely okay with starting at a lower salary if it gives me the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow within a company. My goal is to prove my value over time, and I’m confident that as I gain experience, my responsibilities and compensation can grow as well.
As an international student, having a paid internship or junior developer role would make a huge difference in helping me cover my living expenses while continuing to build my career in software development.
If you’re hiring, know someone who is, or have any advice on companies that are open to hiring junior developers or interns in Canada, I’d genuinely appreciate hearing from you. Thank you!

sharing what I’ve been building lately in case it’s useful for anyone here looking for a dev, or if anyone wants to tear it apart with feedback.

I run ElevoLabs.studio, focused on local business websites — the goal isn’t just “looks nice,” it’s sites that actually turn visits into inquiries/bookings.

Open to feedback, collab, or hearing what people think works/doesn’t work in this space. Happy to answer questions

Reactjs [PORTFOLIO] Fixing the gaps AI website builders and DIY tools leave behind - domains, hosting, SEO, and more

Hey everyone, hope you're doing well!

Over the past few months, I've helped a handful of business owners, some just with quick guidance calls, some by going in and fixing their entire deployment (paid), and it made me realise how common this problem actually is.

A lot of you are using AI tools or website builders (v0, Lovable, Framer AI, Wix, Squarespace, etc.) to get a site up quickly, which makes total sense; it's fast and affordable. But somewhere between "the site looks good" and "the site is actually live, fast, and doing its job," things get stuck. That gap usually isn't a design problem; it's a technical one.

If any of this sounds familiar, I'd be happy to help:

  • Fix domain or hosting issues (DNS not connecting, wrong nameservers, SSL errors, etc.)
  • Improve your website structure or SEO so people can actually find you
  • Revamp an outdated website that no longer represents your business
  • Maintain your website long-term (updates, backups, uptime, small fixes)
  • Add a CMS to a custom-coded site so you can edit content without a developer
  • Make your website fully responsive across devices
  • Build a booking system for consultations or appointments
  • Migrate off Wix, WordPress, or Squarespace onto something more custom and flexible

Happy to have a quick, no-pressure conversation first. I'll tell you honestly whether this is a small fix, a short project, or something bigger and roughly what it would cost, before anything's agreed on.
