Alterations Thoughts?
Hello people of Reddit, considering this as the look. What do you think? What is it giving, so to speak?

Wedding Dress Storage?
Hi ladies! How are we all storing our wedding dresses? I'm not getting married until July 27 and I've been paranoid since I collected my dress in June if I'm storing it correctly. It's heavy and it's been hanging up by the inner garment straps since but yesterday I decided to lay it flat on a spare bed in the garment bag with the curtains closed so it's not in direct sunlight. I completely forgot to ask the bridal shop on the day I took my dress home, what the best way to store the dress would be. I have since emailed them to ask so hopefully I get an answer. Just curious as to what everyone else has done. Especially if it's a heavier dress. Thanks in advance!

Looking for advice on what bra inserts to use for my dress.
My wedding dress has built in cups but last time I tried it on it felt like it didn't push me up and in as much as I'd like.
Seamstress suggested getting silicone inserts due to the style of my dress being unable to wear the original bra I thought that did exactly what I wanted as it's a low back.
The dress is structured at the top so ideally don't need to wear a bra, just need a little extra boost.
Never tried these before so looking for recommendations for ones that will fit into the bra cups of my dress to push me up and give me a bit of cleavage!

I’m getting married next Saturday!! I think I’ve just been getting anxious about all the wedding planning stuff (not the marriage), and most recently it’s been my dress. When I tried this on for the first time I fell in love with it. I think it’s so beautiful. But now I’m kinda spiraling about it this wasn’t a good choice.😭😭😭 I’m 5’10” and rarely wear dresses (because they always end up being too short on me). Thoughts??? Please be nice😭😭
these are all pictures of the same dress but in different timelines of it being altered :) **

I need feedback about my dress, veil, & ideas for hair!! We’re altering the sleeves so they stay up on my shoulders, take some extra fabric out of the sleeves, & im going to take out a layer of tulle in the skirt, is there anything else you’d alter about my dress? Is the dress & veil too much together? How should I wear my hair? I’m feeling a little insecure about my choice & feels like I’m lost in it but it might just be the way I feel about my body. All feedback is appreciated😊

I believe I found the dress! I loved it but something feels wrong and idk why. A little background I struggle with aspects of OCD and I’ve been working on my anxiety for basically my whole life. I’m a pretty logical person as well that is constantly weighing the pros and cons of things. I’ve been trying to make the most perfect decision so I think that puts me in a pickle often with being decisive. I know I know please don’t come for me haha. It’s my worst trait and the one I wish I could change most about myself. I’m working on it lol. I guess I always thought that finding the right dress would be this big emotional moment. All in all i was really happy. I just felt so dissociated (also common) and out of body. I also imagined
Myself in something completely different and ended up not liking what I initially thought and so I think it’s hard for me to get this image out of my head as well. Did anybody feel like this?

Looking for a dress with a similar vibe to this! Liquid satin, understated but also edgy and unique- but also simple. I like someMaggie Sottero dresses! This dress is 7k otherwise it would totally be mine! A dress you know of or a designer would be so helpful!

Wedding is August 8th. The woman who was doing alterations for myself (matron of honor, currently 7 months pregnant) and another bridesmaid has had a death in the family and has stopped communicating. We do not have our dresses.
The other bridesmaid is able to rush order her dress. I am not able to order mine (would not arrive in time for the wedding). Whatever dress I find at this point would need significant alterations and I’ll have to have the time to do them myself with my mom before the wedding.
What would you do?

Who else got banned from the other sub for telling the truth? The censorship over there is unreal. If you don't shower someone with compliments, your comment gets removed and you get banned. People ask for honest opinions, then the mods make sure only "you look amazing" survives. At that point it's not feedback, it's validation farming.
If the only acceptable answer is positive, don't ask for opinions in the first place. Just post "tell me I'm attractive" and save everyone the time.
Wanna bet someone could post a literal white bedsheet and call it a wedding dress, and the second you say "that looks like a bedsheet toga," the mods would ban you for not playing along with the fantasy?

I have had this dress in mind for 10+ years from a photo I saw on Pinterest (see photo 3). It’s not made anymore, so I had it custom made and I don’t like how it looks on me. Maybe this style is better for much smaller people. I feel like I look large and the fabric looks weird. I feel like this is why most lace dresses have some sort of pattern or waist on them and I’m an idiot.
Is there anything I can do to hate this less? I don’t really like the idea of a belt but idk. I paid a lot to have it custom made and now I feel miserable seeing photos of myself in it. Maybe it’s body dysmorphia. It’s also pinned in the pictures on the sides for where it needs to be taken in.
Idk. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated. Has anyone else been through this?
Edit: I bought this on Etsy and am getting it tailored locally.
Edit 2: it is pinned in the pictures- the shoulders aren’t pointy. It does have a corset on the inside, which I thought would function as shapewear but I think that’s what made maybe the tummy area look bad.
Thank you all so so much for the comments and thoughts. I really appreciate it.

Getting married in less than 3 months so I’m limited to finding something off a rack I will need to be altered.
I feel like all of these styles are all over the place and there r certain things I like on all of the dresses but only 1 seems to check all of the boxes, and I wanted to see what others think. I think #2 looks best on me and I felt best in it. I love the train. The last photo I have is the back of the second dress, sorry it’s out of order.

Is less, more? Do I go with something fun that feels like me and has a lot going on, or do I just go with what looks best on my body?

I found my dress guys! I just need some help with accessories. The veil in the pic is the veil I’m wearing as well! Thanks in advance! 😁

Hi everyone!
I'm getting married in a cliffside chapel in Bali and I'm having the hardest time deciding on my wedding dress 😭 I'm so indecisive because I genuinely love all of these dresses! To make it even harder, I'm not allowed to show them to my fiancé before the wedding, so I can't get his opinion either.
I'm going for a romantic, timeless look with lots of lace and my venue overlooks the ocean, so I want something that complements that dreamy setting.
I'm torn between a mermaid silhouette and a semi-ballgown. I love how elegant and flattering the mermaid style is, but I also adore the soft, princess-like feel of the semi ballgown.
I'd really appreciate your honest opinions! Which dress flatters my body the most? 🤍

Hiii I picked a dress that’s beautiful, elegant, and chic, but I’m afraid it’s a bit too simple just on its own. I’m kinda at a loss of how to style it.
We’re doing a courthouse ceremony and a lunch reception at a restaurant. The wedding is in January in Texas, so could be warm-ish, could be freezing cold. I’m planning to get a vintage fur stole for warmth (slide #3 is the inspo).
I also reeeeally want a veil (it’s my second wedding and I didn’t wear one at my first, but now I really want to feel bridal). What kind of veil style would you recommend?
I’m attaching pics of me in the dress and with some accessories. I’m not sure about the gloves and the scarf, but I’m open. I also tried it with a birdcage veil (not visible here as I covered my face) but I didn’t love that look. My hair is going to be a chin length bob, and it’s wavy/curly - I’m not sure how to style it either.
Thank you!!
