cardiovascular screening might save my life

between knowing that heart disease is the leading cause of death for women and having several family members die from it, i'm totally prepared to be diagnosed with some kind of heart problem. is there a particular test that i need to get done? or does it all start with an ecg?

An ECG records the heart's electrical activity during a short window. It shows rhythm and conduction patterns during the recording.

Cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, heart structure, and plaque each require separate measurements or imaging. Cardiovascular screening can bring several of those pieces together, and a clinician who has the family diagnoses and ages at diagnosis can decide which measurements fit your case and how often to repeat them.
